Chapter 18 - Please Leave Your Name, Young Hero! (1/2)

Half a month later in White Water Town.

As the most prosperous town of Skywater Kingdom, there were numerous shops and auctions dealing with business of large amount of money every day here.

It was greatly attractive too all martial practitioners. You could find sect disciples, practitioners from noble families and common practitioners from all over the kingdom here.

Except business, this place was also trading for information.

Any news of the Skywater Kingdom would become gossiping topics of those practitioners.

So most rumors in Jiang Hu also originated from here.

The huge amount of practitioners also boosted all kinds of businesses.

Even an obscure inn in the remote western region was all packed.

One could see how prosperous this town was.

That inn was not big, only three-storey high. The lobby on the first floor was full, with no vacancy at all.

Hurly-burly, a hubbub of voices.

The second floor seemed a little quieter. And the gaps between desks and chairs were much more spacious.

Apparently one would cost more on the second floor.

Those who could come to the second floor had greater power and their foresight was beyond those practitioners in the lobby.

“Did you heart it? Someone from Raging Knife School killed Qiu Yunpu!”

“That was breaking news! That Qiu Yunpu has been a bully in Skywater Kingdom for years. With his thick cultivation, how could he have been killed by a junior?”

“I was also aware of it. I heard he only used ten moves. Raging Knife School finally has a qualified successor. I heard he is called Zhang Ye.”

“These years those robbers and thieves in Skywater Kingdom have died one after another. But that Kuang Yan, though his cultivation is not high, could always run away after committing a crime. I heard a few disciples from Xuanyang Sect were killed by him recently.”

“That Kuang Yan was really both powerful and bold. Anyway, someone who isn’t bold enough wouldn’t become a robber.”

Before a desk next to the window on the second floor sat a man wearing a hood.

On hearing their conversation, the shadow under the hood looking down the street showed a sneer at the corner of his mouth.

This was a nice spot. If there was any danger, he could jump out of the window and blend into the crowd.

Among the four sects Raging Knife School, Qingyun Sect, Ziyan Sect and Xuanyang Sect, who is the most powerful?”

Soon the topic in the inn had switched to the four sects.

“Do you need to ask? Of course it should be Qingyun Sect. Their young master Bai Yufan is one of the top four kung fu masters among the young generation of Skywater Kingdom, plus the rising Su Ziyao, who can compare with them now?”

“Exactly! Su Ziyao’s power is a little bit too dreadful. Though she is not listed as the top four young kung fu masters, it’s said even the most powerful Liu Yunfei of the top four is not her rival.”

“She is rising too fast. She has earned her name within one year. There’s still no time to rank her among the top four.”

“It seems Qingyun Sect will top the four sects this year.”

Practitioners on the second floor did have a broader vision.

Everything about the four sects of Skywater Kingdom was crystal clear to them, but they just couldn’t help gossiping about them.

While they were busy gossiping, someone appeared at the stairs.

He was wearing a blue and white robe, with a delicate and charming face. There was a piece of cloth twining on his forehead. No one knew whether it was kind of decoration or he was trying to cover something.

It was Lin Yun, absolutely.

When he appeared, the whole second floor became a little quieter. Most people cast their eyes onto him.

Wandering in Skywater Kingdom with the robe of Qingyun Sect, of course he would be eye-catching.

But most practitioners in the inn were old hands.

So they didn’t make a fuss. Besides, no one knew him, so they only took him as a nobody.

After a temporary pause, people’s chatting was heated up again.

Lin Yun ignored all these. He looked around the whole tavern and then laid his eyes on the one in the hood beside the window.

He nodded his head and then walked towards that person slowly.

After putting his Flower Burial Sword on the table, which made a slight sound, Lin Yun sat directly on the other side of the person in hood.

There was a subtle change of the expression on the face of the man in hood. He noticed the sect sign on Lin Yun’s robe.

But he came back to normal in an instant.

“Treat me a drink.”

Lin Yun said gently while looking at him.

“Haha, not everyone is worthy of my treat.”

The man in hood grinned and turned Lin Yun down.

He moved his eyes fast while speaking, as if trying to make sure whether Lin Yun had any company.

“I will treat you then. Waiter! Bring me your best alcohol!”

On hearing this, the water served much faster than usual. He took the alcohol for them immediately with a fawning smile on her face.

With the tips Lin Yun gave him, the waiter left happily.

The man in hood looked at the bottle but didn’t open it. He put on a false smile and said, “Nice alcohol. Thank you for spending the money for me.”

“Never mind. Before someone dies, he deserves some good wine.”
