Cheng Zhi Chu returned to the living room. The dining table ws already filled with food and the others had already sat in their seats. Bai Yi saw Cheng Zhi Chu walk over and immediately revealed a gentle smile. He pointed to the empty seat next to him and said: “Come and sit Zhi Chu.”

“En.” Cheng Zhi Chu nodded and sat on Bai Yi’s right hand side. On his left was an empty seat. Qin Ji took advantage of his height and long legs and managed to quickly snatch up that seat. He smiled at Bai Yi and Cheng Zhi Chu.

“Can you drink?”

Bai Yi and Qin Ji both smiled and responded. Cheng Zhi Chu picked at the rice in his bowl and saw that everything in his home was going on as usual. Bai Yi accompanied him and his family to have dinner and everything was very warm. It was like everything that had happened was just an illusion……

Cheng Zhi Chu immediately blushed. The hands holding onto the chopsticks shook and he almost dropped them.

“I remember that you like to eat shrimp, right?” Qin Ji who sat next to him suddenly smiled. He used a communal chopstick to pick up a few shrimps for Cheng Zhi Chu and placed it in his bowl, “Here, eat more.”

“How did you know?” Cheng Zhi Chu widened his eyes in surprise and looked over at Qin Ji.

“I know everything about you.” Qin Ji answered gently. But because those words seemed to carry an ambiguous meaning, he quickly added, “As your friend, I naturally know about your preferences.”

“Zhi Chu, do you want soup?”

Bai Yi sat on Cheng Zhi Chu’s left hand side and asked with a smile. His eyes however moved over to Qin Ji for a moment and it was extremely cold.

Qin Ji didn’t’ say anything. He just smoothly peeled the shell off the shrimp and placed it in Cheng Zhi Chu’s bowl. He said: “If you want more just tell me. I’ll peel it for you.”

Cheng Zhi Chu was sandwiched between the two of them and cold sweat formed across his forehead. He couldn’t help but feel that something is wrong with the atmosphere………

“You both are so considerate. Don’t be so polite with Zhi Chu. You should also hurry and eat.”

Mother Cheng smiled and persuaded them. Fortunately, the elders didn’t think too much about it and just thought that their son’s relationship with them was very good.

She lifted a glass of orange juice and sipped it before asking casually: “The two of you are handsome and you both have good personalities…….Do you already have a partner?”

Cheng Zhi Chu could only avoid his gaze.

“What a good child.” Mother Cheng recalled some sad history. She then quickly asked Bai Yi, “What about you child?”

“I just got together with my lover.” Bai Yi hooked up his lips and smiled softly. He said warmly, “I’m very happy. This is something that I have dreamed of. I have secretly loved him for more than ten years……..”

The smile on Qin Ji’s face suddenly disappeared. He looked darkly over at Bai Yi. In an instant, the atmosphere in the room had changed.

“Ah………Aunty, I’m still single and I don’t have anyone that I like.”
