Cheng Zhi Chu stared dumbfoundedly at the headless groom for a while. Perhaps because the expression on his face was too obviously stunned, the man raised his hand and touched his severed neck staining his hands with blood in the process. He naturally was scared but to him what was even more scary was “Winter Branch”. After all, the unknown will always be more terrifying.

“You……….” Cheng Zhi Chu picked up the veil and looked at the man, “You said that you lost your own head?”
“Yes.”
The groom responded. The uneven incision on his neck moved as he said his next words: “I lost of for a while now. Don’t know where it went.”
He hesitated for a few seconds and then added another sentence to make a small excuse for himself.
“As you can see, I don’t have a head now so it is inevitable that my memory will be a little poor. But I have never forgotten about my feelings towards you Zhi Chu, I really do like you……..”

Cheng Zhi Chu’s expression was subtle. He quickly stopped the man’s words and asked: “You can’t tell where your head is?”
“Can’t tell.”

Of course, even with such concerns Cheng Zhi Chu still had to follow the task instructions and find the head. Thinking this, he said to the groom:

He hesitated and then added: “Because I still think that I don’t know you well enough…….I don’t even know your name. Also, did we meet before? Why do you like me?”
“You’re willing to help me find my head and would even like to know more about me?”
The groom’s hands that was busy rearranging his clothes stopped and his tone carried a hint of surprise. The bloody stains on his body gradually faded and his suit returned back to its original neat and tidy appearance. It was not known whether the blood had returned back to his body.
“Everything that you want to know, I’ll tell you all about it ——– But on the premise that I still remember it.”
“If I remember correctly, we have met once before but you have no recollection of it so you don’t know about me and I only know you one-sidedly.”

At this moment, the small bear suddenly climbed out from Cheng Zhi Chu’s backpack and fell to the ground. It then climbed up Cheng Zhi Chu’s wedding dress and sat in his arms.
“Pinecone?” Cheng Zhi Chu saw the bear climbing out and couldn’t help but feel a little surprised, “Why did you come out on your own?”
“Mummy, I can help you.”
The bear answered in a very childish voice. Its pair of round beady eyes glanced over at the headless man and revealed a hint of fear, but it endured and said in a small voice:
“I can find his scent and follow his traces back to his grave.”
“Thank you, Pinecone.” Cheng Zhi Chu’s eyes lit up. “If you can help me find his head then you’ll be great help.”
“Why is it calling you ‘mummy’?”
However, unlike Cheng Zhi Chu, the man’s tone became extremely dangerous. As if a storm was brewing, a cold hand gripped strongly onto Cheng Zhi Chu’s wrist. The strength was so great, it felt like his wrist was about to snap.
“Zhi Chu, did you find another man behind my back?”
Cheng Zhi Chu’s expression instantly became pale. He still remembered the message from the instance introduction; not to kiss “Winter Branch” in front of the groom otherwise the groom would go crazy. Just those words alone revealed how possessive the groom is.
He didn’t expect the bears inadvertent words to actually trigger the groom but, once the groom realises that he has another person that he likes, he will be done for. The groom would definitely tear him into pieces!
“N-no…..” He desperately shook his head and said with a stutter, “It’s just……..”
“Just?”
The grooms voice was extremely cold. Despite clearly not having a head and not being able to reveal an angry expression, the bear seemed to feel his dark gaze directed at it. Its entire body trembled, and it wailed:
“Daddy, please don’t get angry at me and mummy……..”
“………..”
The groom was stunned. The hand holding onto Cheng Zhi Chu also loosened significantly.
“Daddy~”
The bear bravely climbed up the grooms arm and pulled at his sleeve. In a spoiled voice, it said: “Mummy and I like you very much. Please don’t be angry…….”
Cheng Zhi Chu: “……………”
“You’re a good child.”
The groom rubbed the bears head. The cold air around him had completely dissipated and he spoke with a voice that carried a hint of a smile: “Good child. Regardless of who your previous father is, from today onwards, I will be your daddy. I’ll take good care of you and Zhi Chu.”
Cheng Zhi Chu: “…………..”
For a moment he had completely forgotten about the fear inside him. His line of sight moved down slightly, and he looked incredulously at the bear who was rolling around in the man’s arms ———- Why are you going around calling everyone daddy?!?
