Bai Yi blocked Gu Zhen’s hand, and both his eyes and tone were very cold.

Gu Zhen’s eyes that were looking over in Cheng Zhi Chu’s direction moved over to him and, the moment his eyes fell onto him, he stalled for a moment before the smile on his face faded a little and he took back his hand. He then asked politely: “Are you Mr Bai Yi from the Bai family?”

Bai Yi looked at him expressionlessly and didn’t respond. Gu Zhen however continued to maintain his gentle and graceful demeanour. He seemingly didn’t even notice the hostility towards him.

“Hello. I’m Gu Zhen from the Gu family. We have met once before.”

“A few years ago, I heard that you have left the Bai family, but I didn’t expect to run into you here. I just happened to know your cousin Mr Bai Xi Xing. If it is inconvenient for you to contact your family, I can help you pass on a message.”

Once he was done with this, Gu Zhen suddenly curled his lips into a smile: “As for Cheng Cheng and I, I am his———”

“Shut up!”

Cheng Zhi Chu was anxious, and he immediately rushed over to cover Gu Zhen’s mouth.

Gu Zhen had his mouth blocked, but you could still see a gentle smile in his eyes. He then conversely reached out and grabbed onto Cheng Zhi Chu’s wrist. He removed the hand from his mouth and held it tightly in his grasp. He asked seriously: “Why can’t I say it?”

“Bai Yi is my friend.” Cheng Zhi Chu spoke in a harsh tone. He tried to pull away his hand, “Don’t talk nonsense in front of him.”

He may appear calm on the outside, but his mind was a complete mess. His fingertips trembled slightly, and he was very nervous.

He didn’t understand why Gu Zhen would appear in a place like this. Also, based on his words, Gu Zhen had also known that he was a player and was even waiting for him to fall into his hands……….What the hell is going on?!

Gu Zhen didn’t explain why he would be here and just smiled: “Turns out Mr Bai is your friend? If that’s the case, I should form a good relationship with him.”

He looked over at Bai Yi and saw that Bai Yi’s expression had turned darker. Seemingly realising something, his eyes also sharpened. He hooked up the corner of his lips and spoke without a hint of a smile:

“Thank you Mr Bai for taking care of my family’s Cheng Cheng. Earlier I didn’t have the chance to explain, I am Cheng Cheng’s boyfriend.”

“Swooosh————”

The moment Gu Zhen said those words, he suddenly heard the sound of wind splitting. His pupils constricted and he reflexively dodged sideways to avoid a sharp white sword. The sword brushed past his face before lodging deeply into the ground.

A small sliver of blood appeared on Gu Chen’s handsome face. The blood flowed down and stained a small patch of his shirt.

He raised his hand to gently wipe away the blood as his eyes swept over to the white sword behind him. His gentle and elegant demeanour was instantly gone, and he asked coldly: “What is the meaning of this?”

At this moment, Bai Yi had already pulled Cheng Zhi Chu over to his side. With dark and oppressive eyes, he looked over at Gu Zhen like he was looking at a corpse.

Cheng Zhi Chu felt a strong pain at his wrist. It was Bai Yi holding tightly onto him. The strength of that grip made Cheng Zhi Chu feel like his wrist was about to snap.

But it wasn’t the time for him to worry about his hand. He looked over at Bai Yi wide eyed and couldn’t believe what Bai Yi had just done.

Why did Bai Yi throw his sword at Gu Zhen………….Was it because he saw a ghost behind Gu Zhen and wanted to kill the ghost but accidently hurt Gu Zhen in the process? But they still haven’t started the instance yet so how can there be a ghost?

This reasoning was too far-fetched. Cheng Zhi Chu couldn’t use it to convince himself but he still couldn’t believe that Bai Yi did that with the intention to kill Gu Zhen. Why? Because Gu Zhen said that he is his boyfriend?

Bai Yi’s eyes were dark and violent. A white sword again appeared in his hand and, just when he wanted to approach Gu Zhen, Cheng Zhi Chu quickly hugged onto his arm and shouted with a pale expression: “Bai Yi!!”

“……………..”

Bai Yi’s movements stalled. The hand holding onto the white sword tightened and he fell silent for a few seconds before finally returning back to Cheng Zhi Chu’s side. His expression had eased a little. He rubbed Cheng Zhi Chu’s hair and said with a low voice.

“Sorry Zhi Chu for scaring you.”

But towards Gu Zhen who was injured by him, he didn’t have any intention to explain or apologize.

“What’s wrong?”

Cheng Zhi Chu had a frightened expression. He was shocked by Bai Yi’s suddenly loss of control: “Why did you suddenly attack Gu Zhen?”

“He must die.”

Bai Yi didn’t conceal his killing intentions and his voice was cold to the extreme. For Cheng Zhi Chu, this was his first time seeing him with such a scary expression. His heart was in flustered and he grabbed onto Bai Yi’s sleeves unsure of what to say next.

“Zhi Chu.” At this moment, Bai Yi looked down at him.  Seeing that he was scared, he suppressed his anger and did his best to speak in a warm and gentle tone. “He is lying. In fact, you weren’t in a relationship with him, right?

As it turned out, Bai Yi is very concerned about this…………..But why would he be so angry? Was it because he just can’t stand seeing gays that much? But that reaction of his was too extreme………

Cheng Zhi Chu was shocked. Although he was also faintly aware that the reason behind Bai Yi’s anger wasn’t that simple and that he was probably missing something, the current situation didn’t give him a chance to think about it. All that he was worried about was whether or not Bai Yi would turn his back on him.

Before, he had said to Bai Yi that he had not been in a relationship with anyone. Although he felt that it couldn’t be considered as a relationship, Bai Yi may think differently.

Fuck. He didn’t expect that there would be a day where the two would meet and even fight each other!

Cheng Zhi Chu bowed his head and decided to confess to Bai Yi truthfully.

“I was indeed in a relationship with Gu Zhen for less than a day. At that time, I mistakenly thought that he was a girl and agreed but when I found out about his true gender, I broke up with him……….As you already know, I only like girls!”

He suddenly increased his volume and placed emphasis on his sexual orientation to try to prove his innocence and didn’t say that it was because of Gu Zhen deliberately deceiving him.

He was afraid that if he said that, Bai Yi would once again attack Gu Zhen. They’re currently in a dangerous instance and the three of them are teammates so how could he let them kill each other……….

But what Cheng Zhi Chu didn’t notice was that, the moment he said that he only liked girls, the expressions of the other two men changed slightly and took a turn for the worse.

“I felt that it was too short and it was also just a misunderstanding so it couldn’t be considered as a relationship and I didn’t tell you………..But apart from that one time, I can assure you that I haven’t had any other relationships. I swear!!”

Cheng Zhi Chu looked at Bai Yi with great sincerity. This time, he really wasn’t hiding anything. Although he also didn’t understand why he had to explain it to Bai Yi……….

“Anyway, I have broken up with Gu Zhen and we will never get together again in the future.” Cheng Zhi Chu said, “I definitely, definitely won’t like him. Bai Yi don’t be angry. We still have to clear this instance together. If you get into a fight, we will all be in danger……”

Cheng Zhi Chu gasped and revealed a stunned expression.

Of course, he has heard of the name Shen Zhou. This was the name of another great god in the game. It could be said that, as long as a player uses the forum, they would know of two names, one is Winter Branch and the other is Shen Zhou.

Shen Zhou entered the game a little later than Winter Branch and he didn’t publish any strategy guidse. The reason for his fame was because he had established an elite player organisation called the “Ultimate Alliance”.

The conditions for joining the organisation was extremely demanding but once you enter it, there were huge benefits. What’s more, there was the reputation and honour: members that are accepted by the Ultimate Alliance are all well-known players.

Every player aimed to enter the Ultimate Alliance. Of course, this didn’t include Winter Branch who preferred to work alone. The Alliance had tried to invite Winter Branch several times but,even until his disappearance he didn’t join.

As a new player, Cheng Zhi Chu naturally admired Winter Branch and the Ultimate Alliance but everything had now turned to ashes ——- Winter Branch had turned into a ghost and the president of Ultimate Alliance was actually Gu Zhen………

Moreover, when he learnt that Gu Zhen was Shen Zhou, he was even more terrified. With a pale face, he was worried that Bai Yi would be hunted down by the Alliance in the future because of his actions towards Gu Zhen earlier.
