Cheng Zhi Chu’s face went pale. Although it may seem like he would be able to make the cursed item his own, he is self-aware and knew that only death awaits him if he wore the necklace.

He quickly reacted and tried to take the necklace off but when he reached to the back of his neck, his hands were stopped by another pair of cold hands,

“Don’t take it off.”

“It’s a gift from me.”

The voice rang out from behind him and there was a hint of smile in it. The voice was deep and charming but it scared Cheng Zhi Chu to the point that his soul almost scattered out — He was clearly against a wall so could someone suddenly appear from behind?!

No longer caring about the necklace, he immediately fumbled forward on all fours. At this moment the buzzing sound of electricity could be heard and the electric lights that had not been used for many years suddenly lit up, illuminating the dark basement. Blinded by the bright light, Cheng Zhi Chu squeezed his eyes shut forcing small beads of tears to form at the corner of his eyes. He then suddenly felt someone use their hands to wipe away his tears.

“Ahhhhh———–!”

Cheng Zhi Chu screamed out in fear and his face was ghostly pale. He wasn’t far from dying on the spot. That voice once again chuckled lowly and it extended both hands to pull him into a cold embrace from behind. It then gently stroked his face.

“Scared of me?”

There was a hint of warmth and laughter in the voice coming from the person hugging him. Cheng Zhi Chu shivered to the point that his teeth chattered from the cold. What he was most afraid of was this person’s identity. If it would appear here, then it could only be…….

“Don’t be scared. Come, look at me.”

Cheng Zhi Chu didn’t dare to open his eyes. He could feel Joshua turning him around so that they were face to face. Although he couldn’t see, Cheng Zhi Chu could still feel Joshua’s gaze fall onto him. Like it was something tangible, it touched him all over. Cheng Zhi Chu could no longer stand the pressure and could only eventually open his eyes.

Under the bright light, a young man wearing a black tuxedo hooked his mouth up. His skin was pale, and his eyes were gentle and beautiful. His hair was of an extremely pale gold and the deep blue eyes reflected different shades of light like an extremely exquisite gemstone. Like this, he looked at Cheng Zhi Chu without even blinking. He then held up his hand and gently dropped a light kiss onto his fingertips.

“Jo….Shua……..”

The young man’s smile was gentle and elegant, but he looked lifeless, like a cold corpse exuding death’s aura. Cheng Zhi Chu didn’t have the courage to break free from him and couldn’t even look away. He stiffly called out his name forcing his eyes to be met with the other pair.

“I’m fine with it if you’re willing to call me that.”

Joshua smiled and held Cheng Zhi Chu’s hand. He guided his hand over to his face and asked in a quiet voice: “Do you think I look good like this?”

“………..”

Cheng Zhi Chu didn’t dare to speak. Who knows why a male ghost would also something like this? What if he actually didn’t want the other person to say that he looks good?!

“That person who came with you. Him and me, which one do you prefer?”

Joshua saw him not saying anything and proceeded to lift his face and lean closer to force him to look up at him: “Do you like him better or do you like me better?”

“…….”

Seeing that handsome face inches away from him, Cheng Zhi Chu was stunned. He didn’t understand what Joshua wanted to do asking him these questions. He felt that Joshua was probably referring to Bai Yi so perhaps Joshua had some sort of restrictions if he wanted to kill someone? That’s why he needed him to answer a particular question first so that he could kill him or Bai Yi?

“Can’t answer? Is it because you don’t like both or……you like him more?”

Cheng Zhi Chu’s long silence caused Joshua’s smile to gradually fall and a faint frown formed between his eyebrows.

His fingers moved along Cheng Zhi Chu’s neck. It was warm, soft and filled with life. It…..was very different from him

He loved the fresh and lovely appearance of Cheng Zhi Chu’s but he also understood that this kind of Cheng Zhi Chu would never belong to him

——— Only if I break you, eat all your bones and flesh and force your soul to wander in this darkness forever will you truly become something that belongs only to ‘me’.

——— Only then, no one can have you. Even ‘him’.

Joshua revealed a smile and then, both gently and cruelly, both passionately and coldly, the fingers around Cheng Zhi Chu’s neck gradually tightened.

Bai Yi’s Diary (Part 11)

Before I entered this game, I had already fallen in love with Zhi Chu. Until now, it has been going on for many years.

My soul had been broken into many pieces and they all have different appearances, memories and identities. They were completely different from me and had become an entirely different person.

Only Zhi Chu.

The only thing that every one of ‘me’ couldn’t give up was our love for him.

Even if the soul is broken, the memory is missing, even if ‘I’ am no longer ‘me’, ‘I’ and all the other ‘me’’s …….still love him.
