”Bro, I still don't know who she is.” Zhou Zhenya shook her head.

Zhou Lei sighed, tapping his sister's small head softly.

He bent his knees, bringing himself down to his sister's height. ”You were still 5 or 6 years old then, I don't expect you to remember everything. But what you need to know is that this girl right here is my friend, and you should treat her nicely.”

Zhou Zhenya nodded, taking in her brother's words. She glanced at the filthy beg- well, her brother's friend.

”So... what will you do now?” Zhou Lei stood back up and pushed his sister towards Jiang Zi Yun.

Zhou Zhenya saw that Jiang Zi Yun still had that scary expression on her face, which made her stutter. Nevertheless, she needed to do this! ”I- I'm sorry... for, uh... shouting at you.”

The apology seemingly reached Jiang Zi Yun, as her gaze softened. She reciprocated the little girl's apology. ”I'm sorry for dirtying the floor as well.”

Delight filled Zhou Lei seeing the two girls apologize to each other. He smiled satisfiedly with his arms crossed, watching the two from the side.

A short moment of silence ensued, until Zhou Lei spoke up.

”Now that this matter is settled... Who will use the bathroom first?” He pointed out the principal problem at hand.

”No need to choose, we'll take a bath together!” Zhou Zhenya insisted. Her impression of her brother's friend improved when the latter had apologized to her.

The young and impressionable Zhou Zhenya would, of course, forgive easily.

On the other hand, Jiang Zi Yun was startled. 'Why did Little Ya suggest something like this?'

She wanted to refuse, but she saw the earnest expression on Zhou Zhenya's eyes. Instead of speaking up, she chose to stay silent.

”Ah, Zhenya, Zi Yun said she won't take a shower, she was just going to change her clothes.” Zhou Lei noticed that Jiang Zi Yun wasn't speaking, so he interjected himself.

Zhou Zhenya pursed her lips. She scanned Jiang Zi Yun's whole body, and she grinned. ”She's already wet anyway, it won't be a big deal.”

Jiang Zi Yun was uncomfortable with taking a shower in this mew environment, not to mention with someone she hadn't seen in half a decade. However, what made her more uncomfortable was the fact that the two siblings fought over her own decision.

Hence, she decided to interrupt them. ”Leilei, I'm gonna take a shower. Don't worry.”

”Okay, fine.” Zhou Lei couldn't do anything about it. It was her who said that she wouldn't take a shower, so now that she insisted on doing so, he had no right to stop her.
