”What's the use of these?” Zhou Lei was dissatisfied. He scrolled through the menu, searching for things that might be useful.
”What's more, I have to pay with real money! And the items are expensive as heck!”
Among the items listed on the menu were:
Author's Keyboard – $500

”Ugh... waste of time.” Zhou Lei felt disappointed.
As Zhou Lei was about to close the interface, a prompt suddenly popped up, stopping him.
”Hmm? What's this?” Zhou Lei read the text.
”As this is your first time shopping in this category, you may get three free items.” The prompt was plastered with these words.
”Free, you say?” Zhou Lei's attention was immediately grabbed. ”Why didn't you say so, heh heh!”
The next instant, three items were availed. The Idea Glasses, the Author's Keyboard, and the Master Author Book were the three items.
”Heh heh, I'm going to make a killing off of this!” As he thought of future prospects, his eyes turned to dollar signs.
No matter what, his future was assured now.
Even if he couldn't sleep with his teacher, at least he could rest with ease this night!
”Alright, what should I use first... the book should be it!”
The ”Master Author Book” materialized in front of Zhou Lei as he retrieved them from the System inventory.
The book landed on Zhou Lei's hands... or at least, it was supposed to...
Zhou Lei suddenly retracted one of his hands to scratch his head, but the book fell on the floor because of that.
”Aiya!” Zhou Lei exclaimed an expression of dismay. He did not expect the book to come so soon!
The book's front faced the floor, not allowing Zhou Lei to see the title of the book. He picked it up, only to get confused.
”Master... Chef Book?”
Zhou Lei was puzzled. He had retrieved the Master Author Book from his inventory, but this had come out instead! What's more, this wasn't even in his inventory in the first place!
In any case, it wasn't harmful to him at all. In fact, with this book, once he levels up, he could upgrade his cooking skill once again! ”A freebie!”
Suddenly, another book appeared out of thin air.
Zhou Lei was still crouching on the floor looking at the book when another one fell on the back of his head.
