”What is it?” Don't be late.

”Mo Qingshan …” Mo Qingshan committed suicide in the hospital! ”

”What did you say?” The phone in Mo Wan's hand dropped to the ground.

After Xia Lei fed her a few times, she finally jumped up from the bed and picked up the phone with a trembling voice. ”Xia Lei, I'm going to the hospital to take a look.”

Xia Lei sped up to his maximum speed. Mo Wan's voice trembled as she said, ”Xia Lei, do you know why he wants to commit suicide?”

”I don't know!” When someone found him, he was already dead. Jumping down from the top floor of the hospital and dead on the spot. ”

”Why did he kill himself now?” Mo Wan seemed to be asking Xia Lei or talking to herself.

”Miss, you must grieve!” Xia Lei didn't know how to comfort her.

Mo Wan did not say anything, but covered her face as she started to sob softly.

The car stopped in front of the hospital's entrance. Mo Wan and Xia Lei hastily entered the hospital. The empty space in the hospital was surrounded by people. On the ground in the middle was a bloodied person.

Xia Lei pushed through the crowd to pull Mo Wan in front of him. Seeing the person on the ground, Mo Wan bit her lips with all her might and her body began to tremble. Without any warning, tears started to flow down her face. Extreme fear and despair enveloped her as she tightly gripped Xia Lei's hand. She was so strong that even Xia Lei felt pain.

”Dad!” Seeing that Xia Lei had covered her mouth, Xia Mu Wan shook her head painfully. Xia Lei hugged her and whispered in her ear, ”Miss, Huo Qingfeng is here too.”

Mo Wan followed his gaze and saw Huo Qingfeng. His face was gloomy as he stared at Mo Qingshan's corpse on the ground without moving.

But she couldn't care so much. This was her father, her only family in this world. Her only family! How could she just watch him lying on the ground like a corpse? Mo Wan desperately wanted to rush forward, but Xia Lei held her tightly. The crowd was separated and carried the medical examiner's case to Mo Qingshan's corpse.

Mo Qingshan's expression was extremely hideous, his eyes were wide open, and his face was covered in blood. Mo Wan felt heartache, as if she was being smashed by pieces of human flesh. Someone even used a hammer to hold onto the softest part of her body and fiercely beat her, causing her to be unable to breathe due to the pain.

Her chest felt like it was stuck in a rock, making it difficult for her to breathe, as if someone was tightly grabbing onto her throat. Mo Wan opened her mouth to try and breathe the fresh air, but she discovered that her vision had turned dark, and she softly fell into Xia Lei's embrace.

Xia Lei was frightened by her fainting state. He took off his clothes to cover Mo Wan as he hugged her and squeezed through the crowd. Huo Qingfeng's actions caught his attention, and he looked over with a sharp gaze.

Seeing Xia Lei push his way through the crowd, he signalled to the man in black standing next to him. The man in black followed.

When Xia Lei noticed the black clothed man that followed him over, he immediately carried the unconscious Mo Wan towards the car.

He got to the car a step faster than the man in black, quickly put Mo Wan in the back, and drove away quickly when the man in black came.

When the man in black saw him leave, he turned around and reported to Huo Qingfeng, ”Xia Lei found me. It was a woman that came with him. He always protected her face. When I went over, he had already driven away.”

Huo Qingfeng didn't say anything as his gaze landed on Mo Qingshan, who was lying on the ground. He had received the news of Mo Qingshan jumping off a building to commit suicide on his way to the hospital, so he immediately turned around and rushed over.

Why did he commit suicide at a time when he had survived the harsh conditions of the prison? Was it because he was sick? But his illness was not terminal and could be cured.

As he was thinking, he turned around, and the man in black behind him followed, ”He disappeared after dinner, the guards were searching everywhere but were unable to find him. Then they heard someone in the yard screaming, saying that someone jumped off a building and came over to take a look, and only then did they realize that it was him.”

”Aren't you supposed to be watching him twenty-four hours a day? Why would I lose him? ”
