After dinner, Xia Lan cleared the dishes, then sat on the sofa and flipped through the magazines. Xiao Ze sat on the side of the tea table and finished his homework.
Xiao Ze continued writing without a word, his head slowly raising up.
Seeing such a serious Xiao Ze smile and turning around to enter the kitchen, Xia Lan decided to cut some fruits to reward such an obedient Xiao Ze.
After a while, Xia Lan cut a portion of fruit brocade and brought it out: Xiao Ze, have you finished your homework?
”There's still one last question.” Xiao Ze bit his pen, and looked a little troubled.
”Hurry up and finish cooking. Eat the fruits.” After putting down the fruit plate, Xia Lan sat on the ground next to Xiao Ze.
”Don't bite off a pen, hurry up and write.” Gu Xi Jue spoke again, with a little sternness in his voice.
”You don't even know kindergarten's questions, and you still have the nerve to not go to school?” Gu Xi Jue knew that Xiao Ze would frequently grind his grandma while he was away on business so he didn't have to go to school.
”What question is it?” Compared to Gu Xi Jue's severity, Xia Lan was much more amiable.
Xiao Ze pushed the book over and pointed to an empty question.
”Mommy's hair is very …” This was a question of filling in the blanks. Xia Lan read out the question and then quietly glanced at Gu Xi Jue.
Gu Xi Jue's stern expression stiffened, as he clearly realized that he wouldn't be able to answer this question, and so he didn't blame Xiao Ze.
”I've never touched her hair before, how would I know what her hair looks like?!” Because of Gu Xi Jue's severe tone just now, Xiao Ze placed the pen on the table in grievance and grumbled unhappily.
Gu Xi Jue frowned, as if he was thinking about whether or not to just tell him the answer and let him fill it in.
After two seconds, just as Gu Xi Jue was about to speak and answer, Xia Lan tilted her head and said softly: ”Xiao Ze, pet Auntie's hair, try it?”
Xiao Ze looked at Gu Xi Jue, as if he was testing his attitude.
Gu Xi Jue did not say anything, he lowered his head and looked at the magazine in his hand, as if he did not hear Xia Lan's words.
Seeing that his father didn't seem to have any objections, Xiao Ze reached her petite hands out to touch Xia Lan's head, gently stroking her hair.
”How is it?” Xia Lan asked.
Xiao Ze, who was still feeling wronged a moment ago, instantly revealed a childish smile. ”It's soft.”
Gu Xi Jue did not move his head, he raised his eyes and looked over, and saw the two of them interacting.
Xia Lan straightened her head, and asked patiently: ”What should I say about the soft one?”
”Gourmet, have Xiao Ze and the others learned the adjective yet?” Xia Lan asked, but in truth she was just asking, because Gu Xi Jue was extremely busy, and she was not sure if Gu Xi Jue knew of the progress that Xiao Ze had made in learning.
What made Xia Lan a little surprised was that Gu Xi Jue actually understood it very clearly. ”Learning something simple and what it means to describe it.”
”Oh.” Xia Lan nodded in understanding, then turned and looked at Xiao Ze, waiting for his answer.
Since there was a teaching adjective in kindergarten, then Xiao Ze should be able to understand the meaning behind her question.
Xiao Ze's big eyes were rolling around with a gurgling sound, as if he was seriously thinking about something.
Her small, slightly frowning face looked ninety percent similar to Gu Xi Jue's.
”Gourmet, Xiao Ze looks just like you.” Xia Lan couldn't help but blurt out.
