Chapter 187 - Great Paladin born (1/2)
”Wait what? So our young sect master just returned to the sect and is now instructing us on what he plans to do?”
”Shh! Just in case you didn't know, he's the first generation sect master and this is the sect he created to begin with!”
”But where was he in the past year when the sect was in its peak development stage?”
”I have no clue either, all of us have already been demoted by a rank and I'm now just an outer disciple. To think that I just became an inner disciple one month ago and I'm demoted to the outer disciple rank again.”
Knowing that the disciples were talking about him, Nightin merely smiled throughout as the ten lines took on the form of smaller meteorites and headed straight for them.
These meteorites were powerful and there would be no possible way for his disciples to get out of this unscathed, but this was the only method for him to suppress his disciples.
When he only had a small number of disciples, he could divide his time and attention to them. But times have changed and even though he still knows to show concern for his disciples, he has to conceal it and only those with him since the beginning will understand.
”Seniors! Is he trying to kill us right after recognising us as his disciples!?” One of the core disciples wearing a white robe currently shouted to the skies while swords blue in colour surrounds everyone.
While everyone present was panicking and the other core disciples are occupied with defending themselves, this white robed disciple with his hair tied up neatly behind was seeking the truth while trying to defend others, only leaving behind his main sword to protect himself so that his other swords can be protecting the other disciples.
Not bad, maybe I can give him the chance to become the disciple in charge of the paladins hall which I'll be planning to build and develop.
The paladin hall is one of the hidden plans that Nightin had come up with ever since his intention to return to the sect, but that was merely an idea as he had no one in mind who was suitable to hold the position in charge of defending all major cities unlike the guards.
What he needs aren't soldiers always on a conquest and only to be forced into a defensive position when needed because their cities or allies are attacked in the future, what he needs is someone committed to protecting the sect and each city or marketplace while helping out with any defense against demon beasts invasion. This also includes the nearby realms so that they can increase their network connection and gain access to resources unique to that particular realm.
”Boom! Rumble!”
Meteorites slam into the disciples one after another as the weaker disciples come together while the strong ones challenge the stronger ones so that those weaker than them can also have the chance to survive this, but a few of the selfish ones actually took on a meteorite too easy for them which made things much more difficult for that white robed disciple.
”Sect master, just what is it that you want?” That was the only question this white robed disciple had as those blue swords materialized into angelic white swords of feathers.
”Haha, make a guess?” That was all Nightin said as he folded his arms behind his back, his sword vanishing from beneath him as he used his wings to fly instead.
”Seraphic sword dance!”
The swords of the white robed disciple then flew towards the meteorites at full throttle, each piercing through the meteorites before bursting into an electric to prevent the splashing of any excess blazing parts.
Should I take the risk? At this point of time, Nightin could sense the overwhelming strength of that youth and if his guess isn't wrong, then he must be one of those heavenly jewel constitution talents who never manage to dig out their true talent, but it seems like he has already found the secret behind his true strength.
With a single thought, the biggest meteorite heading for that white robed disciple expanded again and it was at least triple its previous size and judging from the destructive power of the others, only with the defensive strength comparable to his legacy disciples can he make it out alive.
I'm sorry, but I have to take the risk. That was the only notion that Nightin dared to have as even he didn't have confidence that the white robed disciple can survive this.
”Seraph of the end!”
