Chapter 5.1 (1/2)

TN: h.e.l.lo, everyone. I hope you’re enjoying the day. Here’s the Friendly update for this Sat.u.r.day.

Seems like no one would be happier than Sapphire on Earth at this moment. She keeps on rolling on top of the bed while embracing the land, house, and car t.i.tles she had inherited from her deceased grandmother. And by next year, half of the money will also be transferred to her account.

And yes! By  next week, she can start the construction of her dreamed gigantic bookstore! And maybe by next year, the bookstore will start its operation as she gets the other half of her inherited wealth. Nevertheless, even if she doesn't receive that another half, her current balance is more than enough to build the bookstore.

A while ago, exactly after her wedding with Johann, she was surprised seeing her late grandma's lawyer. Her inheritance was pa.s.sed to her as fast as four o'clock.

It was like last week, she was greatly burdened by this money problem, now, she has it! She started clapping to herself while also kicking her feet randomly in the air.

”Nice! Wife is so happy, ah!”

Sapphire stopped what she was doing and stared at the person who came inside the room, Johann. The guy was drying his wet hair using a towel. He had just finished taking a bath. He was wearing a white cotton s.h.i.+rt and shorts.

She rose from the bed and smiled at him. ”Just wow, I already have with me my own land, my own house, and my own car! And by next week, I'm gonna be a millionaire!

”Yehey!” he cheered. ”My balato*, ah?” (*refers to money given away in goodwill by a winning gambler)

”Of course! I'll also make you a millionaire. You're my spouse, eh.”

He laughed and sat down at the bed's edge with his back facing her. ”Being married is actually tiring. My jaw hurts from all the smiling.”

She placed the doc.u.ments on top of her bag and put her iPhone above it so that it won't be carried off by the wind. She sat next to Johann and softly elbowed him.

”Thank you, Johann, for this day.” She really owes him big. He's now really very exempted from her wrath against his race.

The man stares at her. ”Are you happy?”

”So much! I'm super close to my dreams because of you. I don't regret befriending you.”

He pinched her cheek. ”Anything for you, Wife.”

Her nose wrinkled. ”Your endearment to me is very corny.”

”Uyy… she wants a sweeter endearment,” he teased. ”Fine, what do you want me to call you?”

”Don't wanna. Just call me by my name, it's better.”

”Okay, Wife,” he grinningly said before diving on the bed.

She rolled her eyes. Her attempt to restrain him did not garner any effect. Sapphire was also gradually attacked by the fatigue from all of this day's affairs so she lied down as well. Johann's bed is big that's why despite lying next to each other, their skin was actually not touching. She no longer protest about their sleeping arrangement since it seems Johann won't really do something bad to her.

She pulled up the comforted until it reached her lips. Johann also shared underneath. Silence reigned between the two of them and only the sound of aircon could be heard.

Sapphire closed her eyes. This was supposed to be their honeymoon night but here they are, forcing sleep and feeling each other's intention.

”Wife?” Johann whispered as he called.

”Yes?” she replied also in whisper.

”I have a question.”

”What?”

”If I hug you, will you agree?”

”No.”

He laughed. ”As I thought.” She heard his sigh. ”Are you really going to sleep?”

She exhaled and opened her eyes. ”Okay. I still don't want to sleep.” Although her body is weary after all of the today's events, her mind is very active. She's too excited for her money and future bookstore. Even now, she's already thinking very hard on where it should be ideally built.

”Why don't you still want to sleep?”

”I want to think about many things. How about you?”

”I also can't sleep, eh.” He changed side, facing her. ”Tell me a story.”

She stared at him. ”What am I? Your storyteller?”

”Quick, Wife. So that we can both fall asleep.”

She could only roll her eyes. ”I have no story to tell. My life was not that exciting.” She's a graduate of AB Literature and she loves reading various types of books, give reviews, travel everywhere, and write her own blog. That's all she does. Every day, that's her routine, except only if she has to attend some socialite parties or get together with her cousins.

”Then I'll just ask and you answer.”

She closed her eyes and fixed her position. ”Sounds fine with me.”

”Why of all possible business, you chose 'bookstore'?”
