Chapter 1304 - Shut-in Killer (1/2)
For as long as he could remember, he hated these artificial scents and over time, he gradually hated getting close to women at all. Perhaps it was because of this that he had absolutely no intention to date or get married.
The appeal was never there.
But someone, when the woman holding on to him gave off a faint scent of orchids, which wafted into his nose gently and made him want to smell more of it.
Sikong Heng froze for a few seconds before pushing her away with his long fingers. His clear black eyes landed on her face. She had a scarf around her face and he could not see her whole face. Even with her head lowered, Bai Xue could feel his gaze land on her but she didn’t panic at all. She scratched her face, reddening it.
“Over there… they ran there,” she said as she pointed elsewhere calmly.
Sikong Heng’s gaze shifted coolly from her face to his underling and said, “Go after them.”
The men moved towards the direction she pointed in immediately.
…
He was gone.
Bai Xue’s red lips curved upwards, her cold eyes dangerous and alluring. Bare feet ventured towards the lift.
But the moment she turned around, she froze.
There was a tall and handsome figure in the lift, it was Sikong Heng.
Both his hands were in his pockets, as though he was waiting for her. His gaze was relaxed and he lifted his brows slightly when he saw her walk over, his cold eyes landing at her through his gold-rimmed glasses as his lip curved up sarcastically. “I never expected the Black Rose to be such a lowly thief.”
So he had already figured it out from the start. He had known at first glance that she was the Black Rose.
Bai Xue lifted her eyes to look at this man. He was extremely fair, and along with his handsome features, looked very fresh. As he was born in an esteemed family as well, he exuded an aura of pureness and restraint.
It seemed like a sin for a woman to touch him.
“So you’re the famous Doctor Sikong. Oh my, you’re really… handsome.”
Dr Sikong stayed silent.
He pressed his thin lips together. Her face was covered and he could only see her cold, beautiful eyes. They were focused on his face as she sized him up.
With a humph, he replied, “How rude!”
He had called her rude, just like a young boy who had been teased by girls. Bai Xue’s lips curved upwards into a smile. He really was so arrogant, yet so pure.
“Doctor Sikong, has anyone told you that you were born looking like a… Xiao Shou?”
Xiao-what?
Xiao Shou?
In all the years he had been alive, no one had called him this before. This Black Rose was making him dislike her even more.
“Return the man in black to me.”
Turning tail, Bai Xue spun around and ran.
She was running away?
Sikong Heng stared at her as he white skirt floated in the wind, revealing her attractive, shapely legs.
This woman was sly.
Just like a little fox.
Chasing after her, Sikong Heng reached out with his long fingers to grab her wrist. But her reflexes were fast and she twisted away from him, her wrist slipping from his grasp.
Sikong Heng felt his hand brush past her smooth skin.
He didn’t want to hit a woman, so he lowered his voice and said, “Hand the man in black over. I don’t want to argue with you.”
Ignoring his words, she threw a glance back at him and continued her escape.
Sikong Heng’s clear ears turned cold and he immediately reached for her shoulders.
But Bai Xue was extremely nimble and her reaction speed was inhumanely fast. As his hand reached for her, she quickly turned around and met his hand with her chest.
