Chapter 1259 - The Pain of Leaving (1/2)

Gu Mohan understood everything in an instant.

He still remembered the first time he saw Lu Yeming. Back then, he had been a solemn youth. At that time, Mo’er had tripped him on purpose and he had reached out to grab her waist.

He had remembered that scene even after all these years. He had grabbed Mo’er’s waist, then let go just as suddenly. It was because of that action that Gu Mohan knew immediately from then.

The first person who had found out about his love was actually Gu Mohan.

But he had never exposed him because he had seen how this solemn youth had quickly retracted his hands after touching her waist. He knew that this man would never try to snatch her away secretly. This hidden love of his was pure and untainted.

Gu Mohan looked at Lu Yeming, and without saying another word, walked upstairs.

In the apartment.

Jun Xiqing had left. Tang Mo’er opened the door for Gu Mohan and he entered.

“Mr Gu, you’re done with your meeting?” Tang Mo’er looked at him gently.

Gu Mohan lifted his long fingers to undo the buttons on his coat. He felt as though Tang Mo’er was gentler than usual today.

They had been together for almost six years now. She had turned from 21 to 26, and he was 35 this year. He was at that golden age where a man was the most charismatic due to his maturity.

Their fiery love at the start has slowly calmed and matured, so much that even a kiss in a rental car was akin to a vow for eternal love towards each other.

Reaching out, Tang Mo’er took his coat and hugged it close to her before bending down to bring him his slippers to change into. As Gu Mohan looked at the soft body rolled up beside his legs, his gaze softened.

“I saw Yeming downstairs,” he said softly.

Tang Mo’er froze, then looked up at him and asked, “You know everything then?”

Gu Mohan nodded. “Yes.”

“When did you find out?”

“From a long time ago. I already knew when we first got together.”

What? Tang Mo’er’s thick lashes quivered. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

With a raise of his handsome brows, Gu Mohan said lovingly, yet a little impatiently, “He wasn’t wrong to love you. He didn’t demand anything of you, just your company. But Mo’er, I know you love him too. If I told you, how would you ever let him be free? Once you knew, your brother-sister relationship would come to an end.

“I didn’t want you to be sad. It was fine if another person loved you.”

Tang Mo’er’s heart softened. She stood up and leaped into Gu Mohan’s embrace. As Gu Mohan wrapped his arms around her soft body, he held her closer to him.

“Mr Gu…”

She wrapped her small hands tightly around his neck, burying her small face in his suit as she called his name softly.

Gu Mohan lowered his face and rubbed his thin lips softly against her forehead. He laughed softly and said, “Why are you being so coy?”

Hot tears swirled behind her eyelids as Tang Mo’er shut her eyes, not letting them fall. “The best thing that happened to me in my entire life was meeting you.”

When he heard this, Gu Mohan laughed out loud and held her face in his hands. “Your lips really are sweet. Let me have a taste, did you eat some candy?”

He kissed her soft lips.

Mm, she really did have some candy.

He deepened the kiss until Tang Mo’er’s face was burning red. She poked him with one finger and said, “Go take a shower first.”

Gu Mohan hugged her and said reluctantly, “Give me a while more.”

“Go now, and I’ll… wash your back for you~”

Gu Mohan’s eyes lit up and he looked at her uncertainty. “Really?”

It had been a long time since they were together. Half a year, or even longer.
