Chapter 1202 - I…Like You (1/2)

When Gu Mohan joined her, the hammock started shaking and he took off his black coat, asking, “Did that fellow Lu Yeming make this for you?”

“Why are you calling my younger brother ‘fellow’?”

Gu Mohan removed his coat, pulling her hand and placing it above the button of his blazer, wanting her to help him take it off. “Can’t I call him that?”

Tang Mo’er unbuttoned his suit with gentle movements while pouting her lips. “My younger brother is now the West Duke. You can’t call him that in front of outsiders, what’s going to happen if he becomes King and rules the world one day?”

“If that day really arrives, I’m still his elder brother-in-law. Your parents are not here anymore and as his elder sister, you’re just like his mother and as his elder brother-in-law, I’m just like his father. Get him to work harder, I can be one rank higher than him.”

“…”

What was he saying? Tang Mo’er balled her hands into fists, pummeling him.

Gu Mohan just let her pummel him. Holding her fists, he placed it on his chest while holding her shoulder, pulling her into his arms. He planted a kiss on her forehead. “You’re angry? Mo’er, do you like your Mr Gu or your younger brother?”

His words made Tang Mo’er feel really touched, it tugged at her heartstrings. There was no way to explain it, but when he whispered those words by her ears at that time, it felt really heartwarming.

“You’re different.”

Lu Yeming was her biological younger brother, while Mr Lu was… her most beloved.

How could he even compare himself to her younger brother?

She had no idea how he even came up with such a ridiculous question.

Gu Mohan moved closer, kissing her cheek. “I want an answer now. Do you like your younger brother or me?”

He had something in his hand and he passed it to her. Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes to look, it was a stalk of rose. It was a freshly-bloomed rose, with tiny water droplets on it. It was so beautiful.

Even with so many types of flowers available, Tang Mo’er still loved roses the most.

The once-popular Tang Mo’er had a presence that was just like roses. She lifted her hand, receiving the rose from him and she brought it to her nose, taking in the floral scent.

It really lightened her mood.

“Do you have an answer now?” Gu Mohan asked.

Tang Mo’er lifted her head, looking at him with watery eyes. “I… like you.”

She had been bought over with a stalk of rose, she could only let her younger brother down.

I’m sorry, Yeming.

A smile hinted at the edges of Gu Mohan’s lips. “You have some conscience left, if not I’d have wasted my time missing you every day.”

He kissed her red lips.

Tang Mo’er blushed while he kissed her. He slowly started pushing his tongue inside her mouth. Tang Mo’er was coy, slowly reciprocating the kiss. Then Gu Mohan pinned her down as they both lay on the hammock.

The hammock started swinging even more and Gu Mohan held her shoulder, letting her rest on his chest.

He had lost some weight and it made his handsome facial features even more distinct. His eyes were slightly bloodshot, he seemed really tired.

C.T Corporation had merged with the Gu Corporation. A massive business empire combined with a three-centuries old conglomerate in the Capital, it was definitely Gu Mohan’s decade. He had become even more of a workaholic recently, taking business trips all the time.

Tang Mo’er’s heart ached for him, she blamed herself too. He was so busy with work but she hadn’t been able to stay with him and take care of him. Lifting her hand, she slowly caressed his face.

Gu Mohan looked at her, his voice a little husky. “You want to do it?”

“…”

Tang Mo’er quickly retracted her hand. No, she didn’t want to do it.

“Ha.” Gu Mohan let out a chuckle. He was really tired. “I have an important meeting tomorrow morning, go to sleep.”
