Lin Xuanji felt really shy, she really couldn't face anyone now. As she continued to wriggle under the blankets, it only made Lu Jinwen's Adam's apple bob even more prominently.

”Xuanji, be good. Come out to take a breather, let me carry you to take a shower,” he coaxed.

When Lu Jinwen pulled one corner of the blanket and this time she didn't resist. The blanket was pulled away, revealing her face.

”Let go.” With that, Lu Jinwen pulled the blankets away completely. Lin Xuanji quickly closed her eyes, her legs curling up too. Beneath her was a red spot that was just like a red plum blossom, as well as blotches on the sheets.

Lu Jinwen suppressed his rekindled desires seeing it, he carried her and took her into the bathroom.

Standing under the showerhead, Lin Xuanji quickly closed the frosted glass door of the shower and chased him out. ”I'll bathe by myself, you can go out.”

Lu Jinwen stood tall outside. ”Let's bathe together, I can help you scrub your back.”

”I don't need you to do that,” Lin Xuanji rejected immediately.

She was shy and he didn't want to rush things too much. He still had a lot of time in this lifetime to do anything he wanted to.

He stepped out of the bathroom, picking up all the clothes that had been scattered around the carpeted ground before changing the sheets.

Thud. The bathroom door opened and hot steam rushed out. Lin Xuanji stood by the door, she had put on an off-white colored negligee and stood barefoot on the carpeted ground. Her hair was wet and her body was covered in mist, just like a seductive nymph.

Lu Jinwen glanced over, scanning her lithe figure before he furrowed his brows. ”Aren't your feet cold?”

He walked over towards her.

Lin Xuanji began to run away.

Lu Jinwen smiled, stretching out an arm to grasp her waist, pulling her into his arms. ”Why are you running? I'm not going to eat you.”

Lin Xuanji lowered her head. He really was going to eat her!

”Let me hug you.” He pulled her into his embrace, coming in front of the dresser as he placed her on his lap. ”I'll dry your hair.”

He took the hairdryer, taking the time to dry her wet hair. His every move was gentle and it tugged at Lin Xuanji's heartstrings. Men and women were fundamentally different. Men were only interested in doing it, but women cared more about the little things after the deed.

”Your hair is dry now.”

Lu Jinwen placed the hairdryer down and carried her over to the bed. He placed her down gently, covering the blanket over her body. ”You can go to sleep first, I'm going to take a shower.”

Secretary Ye had come over to pass him some clothes and Lu Jinwen stepped into the bathroom to take a shower.

Lin Xuanji lay comfortably under the blankets, it felt so warm and snug but she just couldn't fall asleep.

Shifting her legs, she found that it still hurt. Recalling the earlier scenario, she couldn't help but hide under the blankets.

Thud. A gust of cold air rushed out from the bathroom. Lu Jinwen had finished taking his shower.

He wore a black silk pajamas, the band loosely tied around his waist and half of his chest was revealed.

With his wet fringe draping over his forehead, those deep-set eyes of his were covered. He appeared extra youthful and handsome now, making one's heart speed up once they saw him.

Lin Xuanji quickly turned around, closing her eyes to pretend she had already fallen asleep.
