Lin Xuanji's heart softened a little, her fingers slowly curling up, clutching his shirt.

She just let him kiss her.

Once he felt her not resisting anymore, Lu Jinwen continued kissing her even more affectionately. Their tongues intertwined and he was so addicted, he just couldn't stop.

They suddenly heard little Gu Yelin's voice. ”Grandma, are you done drinking your medicine?”

Little Gu Yelin was looking for Lin Xuanji.

Lin Xuanji moved her head, their lips separating.

The kiss finally ended.

Lu Jinwen furrowed his brows after being interrupted in the deed. His nose was still on her face, smelling her scent. ”It's indeed sweet.”

”Don't you have sweets in your pocket? Just eat one of them.” Lin Xuanji tried to push him away.

Lu Jinwen was reluctant to let go, continuing to sandwich her while he let out a chuckle. ”I meant that your mouth is sweet.”

It was a play on words.

”Lu Jinwen, stop. Niuniu is looking for me.”

”Let him play by himself for awhile.” Lu Jinwen picked up her jaw, forcing her to lift her head.

His gaze traveled down, landing on her lips.

After being kissed by him just a second ago, her lips were glistening and simply irresistible.

He leaned over, kissing her again.

”Lu Jinwen!” Lin Xuanji quickly stretched her hand out, pushing his lips away. ”Why are you constantly thinking about such things? You're already 50 years old.”

Lu Jinwen looked at her with a suggestive gaze, raising his brows as he said, ”What does it have to do with my age? Are all 50 year olds impotent or just asexual?”

”…” Lin Xuanji was at a loss of what to say.

Lu Jinwen held her hand, squeezing it lightly. ”Xuanji, do you really intend to treat me like this for the rest of our lives? You haven't allowed me to lay my hands on you for the past year.”

After they got married, she would allow him to kiss and hug her but anything more than that, she was unwilling.

He hadn't laid his hands on her at all.

Lin Xuanji lowered her eyes, wanting to retract her hand. His hot, heavy breathing followed, almost melting her.

Lu Jinwen showed a sardonic smile as he glared fiercely at her with those piercing eyes, almost like x-rays that could pass through her. ”Lin Xuanji, I'm your husband. How could you ask your husband to go outside and find another woman? Does our marriage even matter to you? What am I in your eyes?”

She had just triggered him, touching on his bottom line and infuriating him.

As Lin Xuanji watched his darkened expression, her brows knitted even more. ”You're hurting me, let go!”

Her face started to pale. She could never take even a bit of his beastly behavior, with her current health.

Lu Jinwen suddenly stopped, letting go of his grasp.

He could never bear to hurt her.

He knew deep in his heart that even though she had married him, she never belonged to him.

She would never let herself belong to him.

”Grandpa, Grandma, why are you taking so long?” Little Gu Yelin suddenly ran over.
