675 The Showdown of Lu and Lin 9 (1/2)
The High Priest of Miaojiang gasped, he would have never imagined that the altar would ever collapse. This was the most serious disaster the entire Miaojiang could ever face.
”Hurry up and head back!” Meng Lu brought his men with him as they hurried back towards the altar.
Tang Mo'er then ran over. ”Let's head back too, we must never allow Lu Jinwen to bring my mother away. He'll dig my mother's heart out in order to transplant it into Lin Xuanyin.”
”Mo'er,” Gu Mohan walked over, stretching on arm out to grasp her slim waist, ”Rest assured, we have our plans.”
What did he mean?
Tang Mo'er was stunned, and she looked in Jun Mosheng's direction.
Jun Mosheng nodded his head and reassured her. ”Mo'er, don't be too worried. It's always unpredictable and we can't safely say that Lu Jinwen's plans are going to succeed. Just wait and see.”
Tang Mo'er instantly figured everything out. It turned out that Jun Mosheng and Gu Mohan already had everything planned out. They were just putting up an act. Well, as for Lin Xuanji, the battle had officially begun.
…
In the altar.
Lu Jinwen had carried Lin Xuanji out of the altar and held her in his arms. He stretched his fingers out, caressing her beautiful face.
His almond-shaped eyes crinkled into a smile. It had been so many years, she was finally back in his arms.
He had a sense of security holding this delicate body in his arms. His entire heart was filled up by her and he smiled.
”Sir, the altar is going to collapse soon, it's really dangerous. You should hurry up and bring Madam Xuanji with you. Leave this place as soon as possible,” Butler Ye urged him.
Lu Jinwen lifted his head, his eagle-like gaze shifted to the other side. There were a few bodyguards with strong builds trying to pull the sword out.
It was the very same sword that Ah Man had talked about. As long as the sword was inserted into the mechanism beneath the crystal coffin right when the altar was about to collapse, the altar could be saved.
However, the sword was stuck between a stone wall and just like it was destined, a mere mortal wasn't able to pull it out.
”Sir, we can't pull the sword out!”
Butler Ye panicked, he instantly reported, ”Sir, the sword can't be pulled out. Let's hurry up and leave. We must get out of here immediately.”
The entire altar was shaking and there was dust and sediments falling all over the place. Lu Jinwen removed his coat and covered Lin Xuanji with it, he didn't allow the dirt to taint her beautiful face.
Although he stretched his legs out, it wasn't to leave. As he had carried Lin Xuanji over to the stone wall, he thundered, ”Everyone move away!”
”Yes.” The bodyguards instantly made way for him.
Lu Jinwen looked at the sword, the handle was a brown color was there were three words engraved on it—-The King's Sword.
It was the precious sword that the ancestors of Miaojiang had used during the discovery of their land, The King's Sword.
His lips were raised into a sardonic smile, Lu Jinwen stretched his arm out, reading to pull the sword.
”Sir, you can't do that!” Butler Ye instantly blocked in front of Lu Jinwen.
Lu Jinwen furrowed his brows, Butler Ye had been loyal to him for many years and he had never had disobeyed his commands before.
Butler Ye shook his head. ”Sir, the witchcraft in Miaojiang isn't a joke. This sword is inserted between the stone wall, just like it was meant to be there. It's not something that should be touched, Sir, you shouldn't touch it.”
Lu Jinwen pursed his lips. Before he could even realize it, someone had appeared beside him and held onto the sword.
Butler Ye glanced over, it was… Tang Chenyi.
Tang Chenyi was sporting a black hoodie and his fringe covered his cold eyes. He held the sword with both hands and started to pull it out slowly.
The stone wall started to split open and the King's Sword was pulled out.
Butler Ye was astonished. The few bodyguards were extremely strong and muscular and yet they weren't able to pull the King's Sword out. However, this 18 year old teen actually did it!
How on earth?
The King's sword, was it all predestined?
