626 Too Hard to Escape from the Chains of Love 3 (1/2)

There was a natural glass window, and the altar could be seen clearly through the window.

Everyone stood before the glass window, with Lu Jinwen and Jun Mosheng standing at the forefront. Meng Lu looked at his son, Meng Che. ”Che'er, open the main door to the altar and let the crystal casket descend.”

”Yes, Father.” Meng Che took out a key from his waist and opened the main door to the altar.

Lu Jinwen's deep almond-shaped eyes glanced at the key in Meng Che's hand. His glance seemed to be as cold and sharp like the blade of a knife, but then again it seemed like there was nothing too. He turned his head casually.

The main door to the altar opened and the crystal casket inside slowly descended.

The entire venue was so silent that one could probably have heard a pin drop.

Lin Xuanji was laying in the crystal casket.

Lin Xuanji had finally appeared.

This mysterious woman that had made both Lu Jinwen and Jun Mosheng fight over her ferociously that year had finally appeared.

Tang Mo'er stood beside Jun Mosheng. She had not spoken much since she arrived at Miao Jiang. She only wanted to see her mother.

Mother.

She clenched her fists and held her breath.

The crystal casket landed on the ground.

Tang Mo'er saw a figure lying in the incandescent crystal casket. The figure was clad in a red dress just like many years before and her silky black hair was scattered about sensuously, revealing her ravishing face.

Hiss.

It was uncertain who had gasped.

Lin Siyu dropped the thing she was holding onto the ground. She looked at the woman in the crystal casket in stunned silence. Her black eyes widened continuously. No, it was not possible.

How was it possible?

It had been so many years. Even people like Lu Jinwen and Jun Mosheng, who seemed to show no signs of aging, had grown a few wrinkles as the years went by.

But Lin Xuanji looked exactly the same as she had many years ago. It was as though time had stopped for her.

Lu Jinwen looked at the woman in the crystal casket and there was an astonished expression on his handsome face. He was stunned beyond words.

His deep almond-shaped eyes narrowed vigorously and he looked at the woman in disbelief.

It was uncertain if the glass window was too clear or if his vision was too good. He could see her beautiful face, a pair of exquisite willowy eyebrows, a delicate nose and red lips. Her face was glistening under the lights and it was smooth and supple.

How old was she?

Based on his calculations, she would have been in her forties. But she was as beautiful and enchanting as a rose that had bloomed amidst the morning dew.

He recalled many years ago when she had looked so ravishing as she jumped into the sea, leaving trails of red as her dress fluttered behind her.

She had indeed… remained as beautiful and youthful as ever.

Everyone was stunned. Jun Mosheng placed both hands on the glass window and his gentle eyes were filled with tenderness.

He never got married in his entire life. The person that he had always dreamed about and pined for was in front of him.

She looked exactly the same as his memory of her.

Lin Xuanji lay quietly in the crystal casket. She was oblivious to everything that was happening outside. She merely lay like this peacefully, day after day, not knowing how much time had gone by.

”Mr Lu, Mr Jun, as promised, I have brought you here to see the Holy Lady.” Meng Lu smiled.

Meng Che made the crystal casket ascend, and the main door to the altar closed.

Lin Xuanji disappeared from everyone's eyes, as if she were merely an illusion.

Jun Mosheng retracted his gaze and looked at Meng Lu. ”High Priest Meng, would you agree to it if we were to bring the Holy Lady away?”
