574 Theres Still a Long Time Before This Lifetime Ends for the Both of Us (1/2)

Lu Jinwen closed the bathroom door, asking her to wash herself clean.

As he stood on the balcony holding a cigarette between two fingers, he continued puffing on it, smoking three cigarettes without any break.

He stubbed the third cigarette out on the ashtray and turned around, looking at the bathroom door with bloodshot eyes. He felt as though an eternity had passed, but she still wasn't done showering.

He walked over, placing his hand on the doorknob and planning to open the door.

But he couldn't open it, she had locked it from the inside.

She locked the door.

His heart sank. The flaming rage in his heart had dissipated as some sixth sense told him that something bad had happened. He had an ominous feeling.

—-Lu Jinwen, if there's another lifetime, I would pray hard to the buddha to never meet you again.

—-Jun Mosheng, we aren't fated in this lifetime but I'll betroth myself to you in my next lifetime.

He couldn't stop recalling her earlier words. He lifted his leg, kicking the door open forcefully.

The door opened and he stepped into the bathroom. The ground was wet and the water had filled over the bathtub. There was a red figure under the water.

Her hair and red clothing were floating in the water. She closed her eyes, the corners of her lips were raised. That smile seemed to show a sense of relief.

She had committed suicide.

She wanted to drown herself.

His pupils dilated with horror, he didn't know how he even managed to bring her out of the water and placed her on the bed. He continued resuscitating her.

Her face was stark white and didn't have any sign of life.

She was dead.

Was she dead?

He didn't have any expression on his face, both hands on her chest and he continued to perform CPR on her. He didn't even know what he was doing at that point of time. He only knew that if she didn't regain consciousness, he could continue with the CPR and never stop until she woke up.

After some time, right before he wanted to give up, she spat a mouthful of water and regained consciousness.

Her eyes opened and she looked at the chandelier on the ceiling dazedly. After a few seconds, she muttered, ”I'm still alive… why am I not dead?”

She asked, why wasn't she dead?

He gasped for air, his entire body soaking wet after bringing her out of the water. He had broken out into perspiration and the sweat dripped down his handsome face. He towered above her, starting to unbuckle his belt.

She didn't react to it like how she normally did and laughed instead. ”Lu Jinwen, I haven't showered yet, don't you think that I'm dirty?”

He froze.

”Ha, haha. Lu Jinwen, you were disgusted, right? That's good, remember that disgusting feeling. It's how I feel whenever I have to kiss you and have sex with you.”

He closed his bloodshot eyes, sending pain through her body with every powerful thrust.

She curled up from his movement, but she refused to even make one sound. She glared at him with hatred and disgust.

He leaned forward, wanting to kiss her lips. But he suddenly said, ”Lin Xuanji, you're yearning for the next life but too bad for you, there's still a long time before this lifetime ends for the both of us.

”If you're still thinking about betrothing yourself to Jun Mosheng in your next lifetime, stop dreaming. I'll make sure that the heart transplant happens soon and even after you're dead, your heart would still be pumping on this earth. I'll make sure that you're going to be a wild spirit with no chance to reincarnate. Dream on about leading a happy afterlife.”

She was stunned, glaring at him with her eyes wide open. ”Lu Jinwen, you're a devil.”
