537 No Longer a Virgin (1/2)

By the time Lu Jinwen had returned to the bungalow, Tang Mo'er had already left.

She had taken away with her the note, since her mom's handwriting was on it.

She was gone.

Lu Jinwen walked over, sitting on the bed and burrowing his face in the pillow. He could still smell Lin Xuanji's scent on it.

She had slept on that pillow and had sex with him on that very bed.

Lu Jinwen's Adam's apple bobbed, he closed his eyes and rested.

A euphonious voice replayed in his ears—-Mr Lu, do you love me?

She hung around him and pestered him with that same question—-do you love me?

He never once answered her, nor did he tell her, I love you…

Lu Jinwen drifted down his memory lane, from the first time they met at the temple and she fell in love with him at first sight, till when she started wooing him. After that, she wrote him a note, asking to meet at Bangkok No.7 and him chasing the Jun family out of Karghalik. Subsequently, she accepted Gu Tianling's proposal and finally, with him holding her captive.

After he locked her away, she gave birth to Mo'er, got pregnant again and suffered from a miscarriage. That resulted in her going mad, he took care of her for two whole years, and…

Lu Jinwen revealed a sardonic smile.

Two days later, the day of Tang Mo'er's birthday.

A University.

Lessons had ended and Tang Mo'er held a few textbooks in her arms while returning to her hostel. She held her cell phone in her hands and had noticed that she had an incoming phone call from Lin Shiyu. She picked it up.

”Mo'er, it's your birthday today. Let's meet at night, I'll celebrate it with you.” Lin Shiyu's mellow voice was heard on the other end of the call.

Tang Mo'er clutched onto her textbook tightly, the corners of her lips quirked up to give a sweet smile. ”Shiyu, thanks for your good intentions but I have a date with someone else tonight.”

”You have a date? Gu Mohan? That's fine, we can celebrate your birthday together.”

”But, Shiyu… It's my 22nd birthday, I want to celebrate it with only Mr Gu.”

”…”

Lin Shiyu didn't respond.

Tang Mo'er could already picture Lin Shiyu rolling her eyes. She was prioritizing her man over her best friend, what a traitor!

”Shiyu, don't be angry, we can just meet tomorrow.” Tang Mo'er tried to do some damage control.

”It's too late by then, I won't be able to make it since I'm returning to Karghalik tomorrow.”

Returning to Karghalik?

Tang Mo'er was reminded of the plague that Fu Qinglun was facing in Karghalik, Shiyu was going to return to Karghalik too.

”Shiyu, are you going to divorce Young Master Fu after you return to Karghalik this time? You're able to obtain a divorce decree in less than two weeks right?”

Lin Shiyu hesitated for a few seconds before she responded. ”I'll see how it goes after I head back to Karghalik. Mo'er, happy birthday.”

They continued chatting for a while more before ending the phone call. Tang Mo'er placed her cell phone in her purse. She was worried about Shiyu, since Shiyu didn't give her a definite answer while they were on the phone, could it be that she hadn't made a decision regarding her divorce?

Would Shiyu get a divorce with Young Master Fu after she returned to Karghalik?

A melodious ringtone sounded, she had an incoming phone call.
