479 Could You Please Return? (1/2)

Tang Mo'er was restraining the golden retriever with one hand and tugging her skirt from its mouth with the other hand.

She was about to retrieve her skirt and rejoice in her accomplishment, when the golden retriever exerted its strength and pulled the skirt away from her with a forceful bite that almost ripped her skirt off.

Why was this happening to her?

Tang Mo'er wanted to cry but no tears came. Did this naughty dog belong to Mr Gu? It was already enough that Mr Gu was bullying her. Now, even his dog was bullying her too.

”Golden Fur, let's have an agreement. You release my skirt, and I'll take you to eat something nice. How about some yummy meat!”

Woof woof woof!

”You don't want to eat meat, Golden Fur? How about this? I will get to know many pretty female golden fur dogs and introduce you to one someday. How about that?”

Woof woof woof!

The golden retriever was barking and pulling her skirt forcefully at the same time. In no time, her skirt had slid beneath her lower abdomen, and her delicate skin was exposed. She would be naked if this continued.

What should she do?

What could she do?

Tang Mo'er was at the brink of insanity. At this moment, her bright eyes lit up. She could call Gu Mohan.

After all, he should take responsibility for his dog!

At the Chinese restaurant.

At the table near the window, Gu Mohan pulled out the chair with the air of a gentleman. Jun Xiyan thanked him gracefully with a smile.

Gu Mohan raised his eyebrows and sat opposite her.

At this time, the waiter walked over and handed them the menu. ”Sir, Madam, here is the menu.”

Gu Mohan took the menu. His well-defined fingers flipped the pages of the menu, but did not manage to find what he was looking for.

Jun Xiyan drank some tea and looked up at Gu Mohan. ”Mohan, what dish are you looking for?”

What dish was he looking for?

Gu Mohan's long fingers paused for a moment. He seemed to be looking for a particular dish, but he had forgotten what dish it was exactly.

It seemed like there was someone who liked to eat this dish.

Had he personally cooked for this person before?

However, he was unable to recollect anything. The elusive memory seemed to dart just out of reach. What was it?

Gu Mohan passed the menu to Jun Xiyan and said gently, ”You can order.”

”Alright.” Jun Xiyan flipped through the menu and ordered a few dishes.

She ordered Gu Mohan's favorite dishes.

Actually they were not his favorites as he preferred bland food. Both of them had eaten together several times, and she had taken note of his preferences.

Gu Mohan's deep and narrow eyes landed on Jun Xiyan's face. This woman was intelligent, beautiful, graceful and came from a prestigious family. When they were together, she would exhibit the shyness of a young girl. She was good in controlling the tempo in their relationship.

This was also the reason he had chosen her.

Jun Xiyan was an ideal candidate to be his wife. In the future, she could help him manage relationships with the wives of other prestigious men. He was already thirty years old this year, and he needed a woman by his side. Amongst all the women that he had interacted with, he was most pleased with Jun Xiyan, and that was why he had chosen her.

But, did he like Jun Xiyan?

What did it mean to like someone?

All he knew was that his heart did not palpitate when he faced Jun Xiyan, as the novels would typically describe someone in love. Truth be told, he had never experienced this kind of feeling towards any of the women he knew.

But what did it matter? He did not need to like someone.

For a person like him, of such a high societal status, to like someone was something that he did not need.

He knew what he wanted. He wanted to marry a suitable wife. He did not need to like her to be able to grow old with her.

A melodious cell phone ring tone sounded. He had an incoming phone call.

He whipped out his cell phone and answered. ”Hello.”

”Hello, Mr Gu, could you please return home?” A soft but urgent voice was heard from the other line.
