Gu Mohan's breath sunk on the other end of the call.

Tang Mo'er was started to feel panicked and she started to blame herself. ”Mr Gu, I'm sorry. It's my fault for not looking after An'an. An'an asked for a glass of water and by the time I turned around, she was already gone…”

”Mo'er, it's okay,” Gu Mohan consoled her, ”It's not your fault. I'll handle An'an's matters, you should follow Auntie Wu home, don't run about recklessly, okay?”

Hearing his calm tone, Tang Mo'er felt her heart calm down. ”Got it, you should find out An'an's whereabouts as soon as possible!”

Along the hospital corridor.

Auntie Wu held Tang Mo'er's tiny hand. ”Madam, let's head back home now.”

”Okay.”

Tang Mo'er followed Auntie Wu but she could feel a devilish stare from behind. She stopped walking and turned back to check.

”Auntie Wu, is there anyone behind us?” Tang Mo'er asked.

Auntie Wu lifted her eyes and followed Tang Mo'er's line of vision, but there wasn't anyone in sight.

”Madam, there's no one in front, what's the matter?”

Tang Mo'er shook her head before smiling. ”Nothing much, let's head back home.”

It must have been an illusion, many bad things had happened during this period and she was probably getting too sensitive, worrying about every little thing.

Tang Mo'er followed Auntie Wu and left. Right after they left, someone appeared out of a secluded corner. It was Qin Yawen.

Qin Yawen had her hands balled into fists by her sides, if she could kill someone with her gaze, she probably would have killed Tang Mo'er a few hundred times over with that ferocious, evil stare of hers.

Tang Mo'er was destined to be the bane of her existence. Tang Mo'er had single-handedly ruined Xiaowan and herself and yet she was still able to continue hurting Qi'er.

If she had known that things would come this far, she would have strangled Tang Mo'er to death when she was a little child.

Qin Yawen turned around and arrived in front of Lu Qi'er's hospital ward.

Lu Qi'er was admitted into the hospital and she wore a blue striped hospital gown and she sat on the hospital bed, entirely blank. The butler of the Lu family reported, ”Elder Miss, I've handled the rumors circulating around online. I've also made that madman disappear. Everything that happened yesterday has been settled, you can see this as a new start in your life.”

”What's the use in having a new start? My reputation is ruined! I'm no longer going to be the Capital's greatest socialite and the queen of the music industry. Although no one will point fingers in front of my face, they're bound to speak badly of me behind my back. Gu Mohan has ruined my life, he's skinned me alive!”

Gu Mohan had taken away her glamorous facade, the verbal abuse on the internet was overpowering and she had been forced to close down her Weibo page. Lu Qi'er had turned into the Capital's laughing stock!

This Gu Mohan was really black-bellied and ruthless. Regardless, his string of plans was indeed exciting to watch.

She didn't have any chances to retaliate, everything hit her right in the face before she could even realize it.

The butler laughed. ”Elder Miss, Sir already expected such words from you and hence he instructed me to pass on this message. Everyone should be responsible for their own stupid actions, this is the last time he will clear up your mess. You'd better behave yourself in the future since you're on your own.”

Lu Qi'er's beautiful face was tense and she was shocked. After everything that happened to her, her dad didn't even offer a word of consolation and warned her instead?

”Where's my Daddy, why isn't he here? Does he even think of me as his daughter?” Lu Qi'er questioned the butler, furious to the point she wanted to stamp her feet and scream in agitation.

The butler wasn't flustered when he replied, ”Elder Miss, if Sir doesn't think of you as his daughter, he wouldn't even help clean up your mess. And if that were the case, you'd probably be facing the worst crisis in your entire lifetime right now.”

Lu Qi'er was speechless but it didn't take too long before she smirked, revealing an evil smile. No matter how Gu Mohan tried to set her up and try to skin her alive, someone would always have her back.

It was inevitable.
