396 Yes...I Love You (1/2)

Pshhhh…

Blood splattered relentlessly out of An'an's chest.

Long Da had stood in front of An'an and so the blood had splattered right on his face. It was still warm.

After spending tens of years in the underworld, Long Da had thought of himself as a fearless daredevil and yet he felt defeated by An'an. He was stunned and his legs gave way after witnessing An'an stab herself in the heart without even batting an eyelid.

An'an fell on the ground in slow motion, just like a kite with a broken string. Her cold gaze was fixated on Lu Yan and her clear eyes were watery as tears streamed down her face.

She was actually afraid to face death, she still wanted to live on and protect him to her best ability.

To do her best and guard over this lonely man.

Lu Yan's brown pupils contracted in an instant. An'an collapsed right in front of his eyes on the ground with a bang, her body and hands were stained with her own blood.

The scene of the garish blood around An'an stuck in Lu Yan's mind, torturing him on an endless repeat.

He turned around with breakneck speed and snatched a gun from one of Long Da's underlings. Bang. Bang. Bang. The underlings collapsed like flies.

Stretching out his long legs, he appeared by An'an's side at an inhuman speed, squatting down beside her trembling body. Lifting her up, he pulled her into his embrace.

Her pale face was also stained with blood, he wiped away the bloodstains on her tiny face and the air around them quietened to a deadly silence. It was as though the entire world was silent, only the faint sound of her breathing could be heard.

”An'an, don't be afraid. Everything will be fine… You won't die. I'll take you to the hospital now…”

Long Da continued looking at Lu Yan, he realized that Lu Yan's veins were twitching all over, his menacing aura scared Long Da inside. However, Lu Yan seemed to be more concerned about An'an and didn't care about anything else, Long Da no longer found him threatening seeing him like this.

Long Da laughed creepily, pulling out a gun that was hidden around his waist and aimed it right at Lu Yan.

Bang!

Long Da lowered his eyes, only to see a gun shot on his heart. He was shocked, his face pale and eyes wide before he collapsed to the ground.

Outside the factory, on the ill-maintained field, a luxurious private jet landed. The cabin door opened and a man leaned against it lazily. He had one leg bent and the other was suspended in mid-air. The cold wind blew around his black shirt and his aura was complete with a sharp coldness.

He held a sniper rifle in his hands and it was evident he had just fired a shot, judging from the smoke around the bullet hole. It had been years since he last fired a shot, and yet, he was still as precise as before.

Two Jeeps drove over and trained special forces alighted from the vehicles. They were fully armed and surrounded the factory in no time.

The man lifted his hand and gave a signal before the special forces broke into the factory, holding Long Da's underlings captive.

Lu Yan had carried An'an out of the factory, a doctor speedily ran over. ”Young Master, please place Miss An'an down so that I can take a look at her.”

Lu Yan placed the feeble girl in his arms down on the stretcher, the doctor took a look at her injuries and reported, ”Young Master, fortunately, Miss An'an's injury isn't fatal since she didn't stab her heart. Luckily, her wound is just one millimeter away from it. There's still hope for Miss An'an. Hurry and bring her to the hospital, she needs surgery as soon as possible.”

Lu Yan held onto An'an's ice-cold hands tightly, he tried his best to rub them all over, hoping to pass some warmth onto her hands. ”An'an, wake up, don't sleep, you have to be strong. You have to live on…”

As if she had heard Lu Yan calling out to her, An'an opened her eyes with much difficulty and smiled at Lu Yan through bleary eyes. Her voice was faint as she asked him again, ”Ah Yan, do you… love… me?”

Ah Yan, do you love me?

She asked him that question once again.

Lu Yan's brown eyes were completely bloodshot, he glared at her with a menacing look in his eyes. ”I don't love you.”

He still insisted that he didn't love her.

Tears started to stream down An'an's face, it slowly disappeared into her silky black hair. She slowly shut her eyes.

She had shut her eyes.
