Biting onto the cigarette with his lips, Gu Mohan spoke coldly, ”Young Master Jun, what made you choose to return to Karghalik? Back then, when Madam Xuanji caused the chaos between the Lu's and Gu's, not many knew that my father was actually an insignificant supporting role. The war about Madam Xuanji was actually between Lu Jinwen and Young Master Jun's father, the Marshal of Country Z. Those two were the real competitors in question.”

Seeing Jun Chulin was still silent, Gu Mohan continued.

”But it's such a waste, Lu Jinwen was a genius who was so unpredictable. Back then, he used his influence to uproot the Jun family out from Karghalik. So how is it that you dare to come back to Karghalik again, and that you're even provoking my woman. Aren't you afraid of being chased out again?”

The war back then indeed caused the Jun family to lose much of their influence, but they were willing to compromise and didn't regret their actions in the slightest.
