Gu Tianling stretched out his arm to touch Tang Mo'er's face. ”Xuanji, it's really you.”

Right after he touched her, a large palm appeared and pulled Tang Mo'er's slender waist over to him. ”Uncle Gu, you have arrived?”

It was Huo Beichen.

Tang Mo'er fell into Huo Beichen's arms.

Once the pleasant smell in his arms disappeared, Gu Tianling immediately displayed a poker face. He stared at Huo Beichen while asking in a dignified tone expected of an elder, ”Huo Beichen, how can you hold this girl in your arms so frivolously?”

Huo Beichen smirked while answering, ”Uncle Gu, she isn't just anyone, she's my… girlfriend.”

Gu Tianling instantly pursed his lips, ”Beichen, stop joking. You're the only son of the Huo family, Old Master Huo has long since chosen the second daughter of the Jun family for you. The Huo's and Jun's are going to unite in marriage soon.”

”What second daughter of the Jun family, I don't want her!”

Tang Mo'er felt the pain worsening, her only goal was to leave this treacherous place. Shoving Huo Beichen away, she ran away as quickly as she could.

”Hey, Tang Mo'er!” Huo Beichen chased after her.

”Young master, run slower or you may slip. I'll shelter you with an umbrella, you shouldn't be drenched in the rain or you'll fall sick.” The maid hastily followed behind Huo Beichen.

Huo Beichen was annoyed and forcefully pushed away the umbrella that sheltered him from above. ”Stay away from me!”

He then continued chasing after Tang Mo'er and disappeared into the heavy rain.
