235 Choose Between Us (2/2)
Lu Qi'er smirked in satisfaction and hooked her arm around Gu Mohan's arm, showing the world she was in a loving relationship with this man. Gu Mohan was hers and she wouldn't let anyone snatch him away.
”Gu Mohan!” Tang Mo'er let out a scream after losing control over herself. Holding up a knife, she pressed the blade against her neck, shouting, ”I won't allow you to get engaged to Lu Qi'er. Gu Mohan, I'll let you make a decision now. You can only choose one between Lu Qi'er and I!”
The entire crowd was in shock, a ripple of chatter erupted throughout the hall and the crowd as they scolded her for her audacity and shamelessness.
How could she be so shameless! Coming and disrupting the engagement celebration between Gu Mohan and Lu Qi'er. Didn't she know her place?
In an instant, Gu Mohan turned around as Tang Mo'er gripped tightly onto the knife, the force of the sharp blade on her delicate skin resulting in a bloody gash on her neck.
She looked at him with her tearstained eyes, her delicate back ramrod straight and a stubborn glint in her eyes.
She would not back down.
Other than this, she didn't know how to persuade him to stay with her.
She could only use her life as a negotiating chip.
No matter what the reason was behind his engagement with Lu Qi'er, she couldn't accept it. Gu Mohan belonged to her and her alone!
Without pausing to think, Gu Mohan's handsome face clouded over by something cold and dangerous. Quicker than lightning, he moved towards her with a frightening speed, before he struck at her hands.
Bam! The knife fell uselessly to the ground.
”Miss Tang, if you insist on continuing to make a scene then I'll have to get someone to escort you out!”
Escort her out?
”Ha.” Tang Mo'er laughed bitterly, before she wiped her tears away. Her normally expressive eyes were red and puffy, her entire countenance was both pathetic, yet pitiful. Lifting her head, she gave him a cold smile. ”Gu Mohan, I used everything that I own as well as putting my pride and life on the line to bet on this engagement ceremony. But… I seem to have lost the bet. It's fine, in front of you, I can only admit defeat and since I didn't have much time to prepare, I didn't get you an engagement present… Since that's the case… why not…”
