168 Mrs Han, Are You out of Your Mind? (1/2)
The man and boy were exchanging cold gazes, there seemed to be a spark igniting.
Having noticed the uneasy and awkward atmosphere between the two, Tang Mo'er speedily grabbed Tang Chenyi's sleeve and gave it an urgent tug. ”Chenyi, this is sister's boyfriend, Gu Mohan. Don't worry, he won't hurt me.”
After being reassured by Tang Mo'er, Tang Chenyi slowly let go of Tang Mo'er and turned around, before he returned to his own room. He didn't say a word.
Tang Mo'er looked at her brother as he walked away. The fifteen year old teen seemed to be too skinny. He was born with speech impairment and because of this, many people called him Little Mute in secret. Because of this, he didn't have many friends and wasn't a sociable person by nature, he was an introvert who seemed rather lonely.
Gu Mohan walked in front of her and held onto her narrow waist. ”You brother seems to like you a lot.”
Tang Mo'er raised the corner of her lips, she revealed a gentle smile. ”Other than my grandmother who loves me and treats me very well, Chenyi is the only one who has always treated me wholeheartedly. Back when I was harassed by a group of gangsters during my stay in the countryside, it was Chenyi who helped me chase them away, when he was only ten years old. Since then, nobody has dared to provoke me.”
While he looked at Tang Mo'er laugh in a carefree manner, Gu Mohan felt his heart ache. Caressing her hair with his large palm, he said with a serious expression, ”I've never been involved in your past but I will be there for you in the future. I won't allow anyone to bully you with me around.”
Hearing his firm tone and reassuring words, Tang Mo'er suddenly perked up. ”If that's the case… you're not allowed to take advantage of me either! Remember to sleep in the guest room tonight! Good night!”
…
In the guest room.
Gu Mohan took a look at the information Yan Dong had sent through to his cell phone. Tang Chenyi was a mute, but Tang Hai didn't send him to a school catered for those with special needs. Instead, Tang Chenyi was sent to the best high school in the city and Tang Chenyi did exceptionally well in his studies, he was always the top of the cohort.
He wasn't close to anyone, including his own parents, Tang Hai and Su Yan. The only exception to this was Tang Mo'er. It seemed his sister had a special place in his heart.
Interesting.
