15 This was the guy you proposed to? (1/2)

”Hyun-Shik?” Ji-Eun turned just in time to see a familiar figure walking towards their group.

She narrowed her eyes at the man walking towards them, observing him carefully. With an unhurried gait and unbridled attitude, she knew she wasn't seeing things. This person really was the man from yesterday, the one she proposed to.

”Oh gods...” she whispered. ”Song... Right.”

Song Hyun-Shik... is Song Min-Ji's nephew, huh? Who knew...? I should have guessed they were related. Well, nearly a fifth of the populace had the same last name anyway. How would I know...? Thoughts ran through her head as she watched him come closer.

She felt a wave of headache crash over her entire system.

Ji-Eun gave Jaehyun a sidelong glance and he stepped up to her at once. He proceeded to unlock the tablet he was carrying and pretended to show her something really important.

”This was the guy you proposed to?” He asked in a low voice. ”The Song guy?”

Ji-Eun nodded to him, all the while trying to ignore his slightly amused tone. ”Did you know anything about this...? I mean, the Madam and him being related?”

Jaehyun just smiled gently and nodded.

”I know you've done your research. You could have...” Ji-Eun whispered. ”Well... Really, it's not your fault. I haven't read the whole report. I just read the company information. Oh my God...”

”I thought you already knew,” Jaehyun said thoughtfully. ”And I've cited their family relations while we were driving over earlier.”

Did he? Really? Ji-Eun tried to recall their earlier conversation during the car ride, but she quickly concluded that her mind had been otherwise pre-occupied that the information he gave her just flew over her head.

”I'm not really sure I want to see this person after I drank over the fact that I asked him to marry me...” she inwardly sighed as she whispered back to her secretary.

”Ah...” Jaehyun secretly patted her hand. ”Play nice, Ji-Eun-ah.”

At that, he stepped back and returned his stoic mask in place while she continued to stare at her secretary blankly.
