12 May I ask why youre here...? (1/2)
As soon as the party stepped off the elevator, they were immediately welcomed by Madam Song's remaining partners and their staff. Pleasantries were shared, handshakes were given, and flattery floated towards the heiress every which way.
Madam Song immediately led them to the Board Room, so that they can begin discussing their business. And as her staff were directed to drop all of their tasks and to focus on the VIP's arrival, the empty and quiet hallway was all that was left as the party decided to move their conversation in the privacy of the room.
It was not until a few minutes later that Bae Yuri and her small assistant attempted to get off at the same floor. But in contrast to the warm welcome received by the heiress, her welcome was slightly frigid as she tried to make her way to the conference room.
”Ms. Bae?” The floor secretary looked at her confusedly, stopping her in her tracks. ”May I ask why you're here...?”
Yuri reigned in her annoyance at the secretary. ”I'm here to sign my contract for the cover.” She said in a matter-of-fact way.
”Your contract?”
The small assistant practically felt the heat coming off of Yuri's body that she stepped forward to try and explain.
”Secretary Park,” The small assistant started nervously. ”Sister Yuri recently became the top model for the company and will be handling all the promotional campaign moving forward. We were told she'd be signing her contract today.”
The lady secretary had a hint of understanding and she smiled at the two gently.
”In that case, Ms. Bae,” she slightly bowed her head to Yuri. ”Your contract is already at the Photography Department. I believe the Madam's office had sent word yesterday about it. This is the Administrative floor and other than the shareholders and their staff, no other employee is allowed up here.”
Yuri's face turned a slight crimson as she heard the lady secretary's words.
”We were not told about that,” Yuri complained. ”Mi-Young, did you receive any notice about it?”
The small assistant hung her head. ”No, Sister Yuri.”
Yuri turned to the lady secretary. ”See? No notice from the office whatsoever! If I had known-”
”Ms. Bae,” the lady secretary bowed to her again. ”We had sent word via email to the Photography Department about this. Your contract has been prepared at the beginning of the week and was sent over yesterday. Please ask the concerned department about your contract.”
As Secretary Park's words were final, Yuri had no choice but to turn around and board the elevator behind her. Angry thoughts ran through her head as they waited for the elevator that would take them to the Photography Department. The small assistant all but cowered next to her.
