Chapter 375: Chapter 244 Lin Chuan vs AW Karl (Request for Subscription)_2

Lin Chuan grinned, “I’m just worried you two might be picky eaters.”

“Picky eaters?”

Shen Qianqian said somewhat indignantly, “Chairman Lin, both Qingqing and I have been eating takeout for over half a month now. Our waists have slimmed down two sizes. What’s there left to be picky about?”

Lin Chuan’s gaze fell on Shen Qianqian’s waist, which was already slim and without any excess fat. Now, it seemed she had indeed slimmed down quite a bit.

“So you actually looked, huh.” Shen Qianqian huffed.

“Cough.”

Lin Chuan coughed, “Then you lead the way.”

Shen Qianqian turned around, purse her lips, her mouth corners upturned in a smile.

She and Xia Qingqing knew that Lin Chuan had been busy lately. Just today, running back and forth, he had made four or five trips to the toy factory alone.

On two of those trips, his clothes ended up all dirty, covered in grease.

According to him, there was a problem with the machinery, so he fixed it himself.

So, how could she bear to leave Lin Chuan behind and go eat a big meal with Xia Qingqing?

Xia Qingqing was at the elevator entrance, dressed in a light blue long-sleeve blouse, silky and flowing, with a subtly pleated design at the neckline, paired with a long skirt, both intellectual and youthful.

She saw Shen Qianqian bringing Lin Chuan out, her pure features smiling brightly, “I just booked Yucai Restaurant. It’s not far from here, downstairs. I’ve been there once; the taste is quite good.”

“Okay.”

Lin Chuan nodded and entered the elevator with the two women.

Yucai Restaurant was famously known in the Qingxiu District for hosting business events and negotiations. Most are held there.

Zhang Xinxin had been there many times.

Thus, Lin Chuan was fairly familiar with the restaurant.

Yucai Restaurant had a spacious and bright lobby, with a high ceiling from which luxurious chandeliers hung, casting a soft, evenly scattered light. The floors were dark marble tiles, and the walls were adorned with several paintings that, although replicas, created an artistic atmosphere.

Lin Chuan, Xia Qingqing, and Shen Qianqian, led by the receptionist, took the elevator to the sixth floor to a private room.

The wooden dining table had exquisitely designed patterns, even the bowls, and utensils were meticulously crafted blue and white porcelain.

“It looks like I’ll have to splurge on this meal.”

After the staff closed the door, Lin Chuan chuckled.

“Don’t worry, you won’t go bankrupt on us,” Shen Qianqian said smilingly with her lips pursed.

“I don’t eat much either.”

Xia Qingqing chimed in, then she and Shen Qianqian picked up the menu and ordered four dishes and one soup, plus a main dish.

Lin Chuan glanced at the menu, “Steamed garlic prawns, stir-fried vegetable hearts, sizzling beef, roast duck, a traditional Chinese soup, and abalone rice, is that enough?”

“This place serves generous portions,” Xia Qingqing nodded.

“Then that’s settled.”

Lin Chuan put down the menu and personally poured some orange juice for the two policewomen, saying courteously, “Officers, you’ve worked hard these past weeks.”

Shen Qianqian and Xia Qingqing exchanged a smile, graciously accepted the orange juice, and took a sip.

Recently, Xia Qingqing had been busy helping Lin Chuan apply for patents, filled with many questions and no time to ask.

Now she finally caught the opportunity.

She sat next to Lin Chuan, “Lin Chuan, lately, you’ve been quite busy without a heads-up, publishing novels, dealing with military weapons, technology companies… I feel like you’re almost too knowledgeable.”

Lin Chuan poured himself some orange juice, took a sip, and then he chuckled, “Isn’t that a good thing?”

“It does, but I have some doubts,” Xia Qingqing lifted her clear and curious eyes towards Lin Chuan.

“You want to ask why I know all this?” Lin Chuan took the lead in asking.

Xia Qingqing looked at Shen Qianqian and then met Lin Chuan’s gaze and nodded, “Yes.”

Shen Qianqian and Lin Chuan had previously shared their anxieties regarding weapons, so her curiosity wasn’t as great.

But Xia Qingqing was different.
