In the Virtual World,

Lin Chuan spent the whole night getting to grips with his agent identity, and before he knew it, morning had arrived.

Lin Chuan was both Li Wanqing’s special executive assistant and her driver.

This business trip wasn’t far, just to the neighboring city, so Lin Chuan was speeding down the highway in Li Wanqing’s company car, a Maybach S680.

“Lin Chuan, do you know why I only brought you with me on this trip?” Li Wanqing asked from the front passenger seat.

She had reclined her seat far back, nearly lying down, her phoenix eyes fixed intently on Lin Chuan.

Normally, Li Wanqing should have been sitting in the boss seat behind the front passenger seat, but on a whim, she decided to sit alongside Lin Chuan.

Lin Chuan kept his eyes on the road ahead. Glancing at Li Wanqing, he smiled, “Chairman Li picks her people for a reason, I won’t presume to guess.”

Li Wanqing let out a delicate laugh, a seductive charm surfacing on her face, “You haven’t been with me for long, but you’re the assistant I’ve been most satisfied with.”

“Thank you for the compliment, Chairman Li.”

Lin Chuan replied with a smile when suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a car in the rearview mirror, his expression darkening, “There’s a car behind us, seems like it’s been following us.”

“Has the competition started to play the surveillance game already?”

Li Wanqing looked unsurprised, as if accustomed to such situations.

“Should I shake them off?” Lin Chuan asked.

“That little matter, you can handle it,” Li Wanqing replied indifferently, showing no sign of worry.

Lin Chuan’s mind stirred.

Was this a test from Li Wanqing?

If that was the case, he’d face it head-on!

Lin Chuan stepped hard on the accelerator. True to its reputation for speeding at Nürburgring, the Maybach instantly responded, giving Lin Chuan a surge of acceleration.

The whooshing of wind sounded outside, but inside it remained serene.

Behind them, the Audi that had been tailgating accelerated to keep up with Lin Chuan and Li Wanqing.

“They’re still chasing, quite persistent!”

Lin Chuan murmured under his breath, glanced at the GPS, and took an exit off the highway five kilometers ahead.

This exit led to a small town; the sprawling highway didn’t pass through the bustling part of the town but skirted its outskirts, making it somewhat secluded.

It was morning, and the sun was screened by a thin layer of clouds, casting only a few slivers of light through the gaps.

Lin Chuan pulled the Maybach over in a small path just off the highway exit.

“Not going any further?”

Li Wanqing asked with a raised eyebrow and an intrigued tone.

If they were outnumbered, the situation could become precarious.
