“It will not be necessary for you to come and pick her up.”

Zuo Hancheng replied in a cold and indifferent voice, and because of the lack of emotions in his tone, Yi Zeyang could not tell what the relationship between Gu Anhao and Zuo Hancheng was.

After starting his car, Yi Zeyang continued speaking, “Mr. Zuo, please tell me your location. I do not want Anhao to bother you anymore. I will come and pick her up so that she will not be a burden to you, and you can have some quiet time to rest.”

Zuo Hancheng could not stop himself from laughing out loud when he heard the persistence in Yi Zeyang’s voice. He knew that his next sentence would definitely turn Yi Zeyang’s world around.

“I knew that I would not have much of a quiet time ever since the day Gu Anhao officially became Mrs. Zuo.”

The car had already started moving for more than ten meters when there was the piercing sound of a car braking.

Zuo Hancheng ignored Yi Zeyang’s reaction and he did not bother waiting for his reply. “Anhao is my wife and I would like to advise Young Master Yi not to overstep some boundaries when it comes to your concern for female students from A High.”

After he was done speaking, Zuo Hancheng hung up the phone before casually throwing the cell phone at the corner of the sofa.

I knew that I would not have much of a quiet time ever since the day that Gu Anhao officially became Mrs. Zuo.

This phrase continued echoing in Yi Zeyang’s ears over and over again.

This was too ridiculous. Anhao was only nineteen years old. There was still about three to four months before her twentieth birthday. How could Anhao possibly be married when she had not even reached the legal age to get married yet?

But these words came directly from Zuo Hancheng’s mouth!

Yi Zeyang put down his cell phone before he looked at his black cell phone screen. He parked his car at the side of the empty and quiet road as he was still in disbelief. Every now and then, a few cars would pass by with their headlights on.

“Zuo Hancheng… I feel so uncomfortable.”

With Gu Anhao’s temperament, she would never confess her pain to anyone that was not close to her or related to her in any way. Even if she felt like dying, she would not confess her pain to anyone.

She was also holding back when she was with him earlier, and she did not even say anything as she was withholding the pain that she was feeling inside. Moreover, Gu Anhao also avoided his sight and turned away from him when she could no longer hold back her tears.

What the hell was going on?

How did Gu Anhao get involved with Zuo Hancheng? How did she become Mrs. Zuo? Anhao was clearly just a nineteen-year-old high school student.

Was he drunk or did this world turn upside down?

Yi Zeyang raised his hand as he rubbed his temple in frustration. After that, he opened his car door and stepped out of the car before he lit up a cigarette.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that everything was really unprecedented and uncalled for today.

Moreover, Yi Zeyang recalled that Gu Anhao had intentionally stayed almost eight hundred feet away from him when they ran into each other the first time.

Even though Yi Zeyang said that he was already back and that he was going to stay by her side to protect her, Gu Anhao merely shook her head and simply pushed him away without giving him the chance to explain himself at all.

He wanted Gu Anhao to give him a clear explanation on what the hell was going on!

However, when Yi Zeyang tried calling her again, the mechanical female voice on the other side of the line sounded, “Sorry. The number that you have dialed is not available. Please try again later.”

Yi Zeyang trembled as he held onto his cigarette before he suddenly cursed, “F*ck!”

He threw his cell phone onto the middle of the street because he could not hold back his anger and frustration anymore. ‘Anhao, why are you so impatient? I worked so hard in the United States to ensure that everything was in place before I finally came back home.’

Yi Zeyang was one step away from finding out the truth about what exactly happened to Gu Anhao and her mother in the past. He was almost rid of his so-called fiancée and the shackles that were holding him back so that he could finally explain everything to her.

He was just one step away from the finish line before he could finally give Gu Anhao the answer that was five years late.

Why was she so impatient?

Was that the reason why Gu Anhao wanted to drown her sorrows by drinking in front of him, and hugging and kissing him forcibly? Was she trying to show him the distance between the both of them?

Was that her way of bidding farewell to him?
