Anhao turned her back to him as she refuted his statement. “If there is nothing else that Professor Yi wants to talk to me about, then I guess you have already said everything that you wanted to say. I am going to head back to my classroom to study now.”

“Anhao, I do not know what kind of sufferings you have gone through over the past few years but how can you get married to someone like Zuo Hancheng at such a young age? If there is something that he is using against you, then you have to tell me! If you continue hiding the truth, there is no way for me to help you at all!”

Anhao suddenly paused in her tracks when she heard his voice from behind. After that, she continued moving forward.

“Anhao! You are not a child anymore. You should be more responsible for your own life. Marriage is not child’s play. It is a serious matter.”

Anhao did not reply as she focused on walking out of the grove.

“The only girlfriend that Zuo Hancheng ever had and acknowledged is Rongxue! The only woman that he has ever loved in this life is also Rongxue! How could he have any emotional attachments to you? Anhao, can you please tell me the truth? I know for a fact that Zuo Hancheng is definitely not in love with you so why would he marry you?”

When Yi Zeyang realized that Anhao had already stopped walking forward, he continued staring at her solemnly. “Even though the incident and relationship between Zuo Hancheng and Rongxue have never been publicized to the public, it is a well-known secret in the business and commercial world! Otherwise, why else do you think I am forcing you to explain yourself to me?”

Gu Anhao turned around to look at him.

Anhao did not even know if the young woman who walked out of Deways Hotel with Zuo Hancheng the other night was Rongxue.

What was even stranger was the fact that Yi Zeyang was so calm and indifferent as he spoke to her.

Why was he accusing her of not loving herself? Why was he accusing her of getting married so casually? Why would he be telling her all this?

When Yi Zeyang saw that Anhao was standing still as she stared at him, he walked toward her immediately.

It was only until he had gotten much closer to her and was looking right into her face that he realized that she was already at the age of a young girl who should be spreading her wings. Yi Zeyang raised his hand and placed it at the back of her head before forcing her to face him directly.

As Anhao stared blankly at him, he asked her, “Anhao, I am not an outsider. Just tell me the truth…”

Anhao clenched her fists tightly together and after thinking for a short while, she felt that there was no need to hide anything else. If she were to keep concealing this matter from Yi Zeyang, then this misunderstanding would gradually develop into something much more intense and complicated. This was not what she wanted.

Moreover, Yi Zeyang was only one small reason why she had gotten married in the first place and everything else had nothing to do with him. Therefore, even if she explained the situation to him, it was not a big deal anyway.

“When I found out that you were engaged, I dragged Chunchun out for a drink that night…”

Anhao stared right into his eyes as she started explaining everything to him in a low voice. During the entire process, Yi Zeyang was holding onto her wrist and it felt as though he was crushing her with his strength. Anhao endured the pain and she raised her eyes to look at him with a sad expression on her face.

After that, she continued explaining herself, “I was in the bar that day as I was very upset about your engagement. I am sorry but at that time, I must have gotten a little drunk…”
