“Madam, a message has just come from the other side. Master is injured,” the secret guard said as he respectfully handed the note to Su Wenyue.
However, Su Wenyue didn’t look at the content of the note immediately but instead fixed her gaze on the secret guard, “My husband is injured, what’s the cause, why did he get hurt?!”
Su Wenyue bombarded him with questions. She had actually anticipated Han Yu’s injury, but upon hearing the news, she still couldn’t remain calm and urgently asked.
“To reply to Madam, Master was ambushed by the Imperial Court on his way back protecting My Lord. The reason the news arrived so swiftly was because Han Yu had already made arrangements, and as soon as something happened to him, someone immediately sent a message. Han Yu knew his daughter-in-law’s temperament all too well. Even though he had already discussed with her the potential dangers and prepared her mentally, she would still worry when she cared deeply about someone. Having heard what the secret guard had to say, Su Wenyue still didn’t feel entirely settled, but worrying aimlessly at this moment would be of no help. Since Han Yu could arrange for someone to send her a message, it at least meant that he was conscious.
