Chapter 4 – 4 All Sold Out in One Night
7:00 pm.
The usually bustling sports square had suddenly become deserted, with a group of square-dancing seniors leading everyone to gather in front of Chen Yu’s food cart.
“Oh my, this is so delicious! How the heck is this made?”
“No wonder these old men and women have stopped square dancing!”
“Owner, give me another 30 with black sesame filling!”
“Over here, 60 more! 30 with sweet potato and 30 with purple potato!”

The crowd was eating and taking away food so quickly that the system’s provided ingredients had already diminished by half.
Fortunately, Chen Yu was by now familiar with all the processes, and his proficiency with frying cakes was remarkable, which also quickened his pace considerably.
However, the swarm of people had indeed caught him somewhat off guard.
Thankfully, Tuan Tuan had brought over some tables and chairs, and sat outside the food cart to keep track of orders and collect money, easing some of the load off Chen Yu.
“Hurry up and give us 100, we’re going to a net café to stay overnight!”
Five teenagers had followed the crowd over, but these five were scruffy, clearly the types who hung around net cafes all year round.
“Five brothers, please wait a moment; we’ve really got too many people today! You can pay first and register your flavors with me.”
The term ‘brothers’ softly spoken by Tuan Tuan gave the five a somewhat fluttery feeling.
People like them, addicted to games and frequenting net cafes, were often looked down upon.
But now, such a cute little girl was standing in front of them calling them ‘brothers’, which rapidly lifted their self-esteem.
“No worries, we’ll wait!”

The first old lady who had bought a fried cake had already returned home.
However, her little grandson was now lying on the floor, throwing a tantrum, refusing to eat his meal, and had even strewn rice and soup all over the floor.
Her son and daughter-in-law were at their wit’s end with the little boy.
The grandmother hurried over to soothe him, but the aroma of the fried cake in her hand instantly stopped the young boy’s cries.
“Granny, what is this?”
The grandmother eagerly pushed the fried cake towards her grandson, “Something good, try it quickly!”
The scent was already mouthwatering, and the little boy hurriedly grabbed one and stuffed it into his mouth.
Under the astonished gazes of his family, the boy proceed to polish off 20 fried cakes.
“Granny, I want more!”
“Alright, alright, Granny will take you there now, maybe they haven’t closed up shop yet.”
Both the son and the daughter-in-law swallowed hard involuntarily, the scent they had smelled before was truly astounding.

The five teenagers heading to the net café with their fried cakes had just stepped inside when they attracted a large group of kids at the computers.
“Dude, what’s that and where did you get it? It smells amazing!”
“If you have a bite of this, it’ll keep you alert and awake all night! You might even snag the top spot in the game.”

It wasn’t long before Chen Yu’s fried cakes caused quite a stir in the neighborhood.
Those who had bought fried cakes earlier came back with friends and family, making Chen Yu’s food cart even livelier.
By 9:00 pm, the crowd waiting at the food cart had finally started to thin out.
“Ah, owner, this is truly tempting! We’ve been working all day and couldn’t find much to eat. Give us a few fried cakes.”
“Oh, this little girl is so cute, she must be your daughter, right?”
