Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - 29 Sleep Together (2/2)
“Dance teachers’ special medicinal liquor for twisting injuries, it’s really effective!”
After applying the medicinal liquor, Chen Yu indeed felt much more relaxed in his body.
“Alright, wash up and go to sleep quickly! We still have to get up early tomorrow.”
Chen Yu stretched his limbs and went to the small bathroom to turn on the showerhead.
Although the food truck also had a place to wash up, the space was too cramped, and Chen Yu had never really had a proper shower there.
Tong Ya took Tuan Tuan to the larger bathroom.
With Tong Ya looking after him, Chen Yu was at ease, so after showering, he went straight to his room to sleep.
At two fifty in the early morning, Chen Yu woke up out of habit.
Just as he was about to brush his teeth, he found that Tong Ya had already quietly brushed her teeth and even prepared his toiletries for him.
Chen Yu felt a warmth in his heart right away.
Moreover, the toiletries he had been using before had all been replaced with new ones by Tong Ya.
Chen Yu hadn’t noticed when Tong Ya had bought them.
Turning his head, he whispered a thank you and quickly finished washing up. He and Tong Ya tiptoed down the stairs.
They had to let Tuan Tuan get a good sleep after all.
At that time, the supplier delivering raw materials had also arrived punctually.
Chen Yu and Tong Ya tidied up the food truck and started getting busy.
After a day yesterday, Tong Ya had already mastered the essence of making fried cakes and vegetable pastries.
I’m not as fast as Chen Yu yet, but pretty quick now.
“How about that? I’m not worse than you, am I?”
Tong Ya had a proud look on her face, with anticipation in her eyes, as if she was waiting for Chen Yu to praise her.
But Chen Yu just sighed softly.
“After all, you are a dance teacher, you shouldn’t be doing this with me every day.”
Tong Ya pouted, stretched out her hand, and made an elegant peacock dance gesture with her fingers.
“Don’t you think this movement is exactly like the one you make when shaping the fried cakes?”
Chen Yu was amused and realized that no matter what he said, Tong Ya would always find a reason to argue.
Today, indeed, Chen Yu had it a lot easier, with Tong Ya taking on nearly half of the work.
“Eh, Boss Chen, it seems a lot faster today! I didn’t have to wait long before it was my turn.”
Chen Yu didn’t know how to explain and just responded with a polite smile.
Usually, the crowd that lingered in front of the food truck dispersed incredibly quickly today.
By six-thirty, there were only a few people left queuing in front of the food truck.
And the turnover that morning had actually been slightly higher than the previous day.
At that moment Tong Ya also tidied up and went to pick up Tuan Tuan for school.
By eight in the morning, Xie Jiang brought the construction team over for breakfast.
“Old Chen, last night I discussed it with the guys in the chat group, and we’ll work extra tonight to ensure that you can open for business in your shop tomorrow.”
The neighbors eating breakfast in front of the food truck were also genuinely happy for Chen Yu.
“When Boss Chen opens a new shop, you must hire a few more people so we don’t have to queue up for so long.”
“A few days ago, I brought my colleagues from the office to eat your fried cakes, but they left because they found the queuing too troublesome.”
…
Chen Yu responded with smiles to everyone.
During this time, he had long become close with the regulars in the vicinity.
After finishing breakfast, Xie Jiang led his construction team into the shop with great enthusiasm.
By ten o’clock, most of the customers had dispersed, and Tang Xiaowei arrived leisurely at the food truck in Tong Ya’s car.
“Sorry for being late. Have you kept my fried cakes and vegetable pastries?”
Chen Yu immediately took a plate from the counter and handed it over.
