Chapter 33 – 33: Confession Forget It
Seeing Chen Yu, Tong Ya’s complexion instantly improved a lot.
“How was business today?”
Tong Ya asked with concern right away.
After all, it had started pouring rain from early morning, and it showed no signs of stopping even now.
“It’s been the same as usual, though everyone was placing orders for delivery.”
Chen Yu said with a smile on his face, taking out a household medical kit from his person.
“I’ve prepared these medicines myself, I’m not sure what caused your fever, so I’ve brought them all over.”
Tong Ya’s cheeks were already slightly red from the fever, but now they turned even redder, as if she was bleeding.
She quickly took the medical kit, turning around to hide her bashfulness.
The medicines equipped in this kit were all mild and suitable for women.
And the mixture ratios were meticulously selected.
They must have been previously prepared by Chen Yu for Fang Yuan.
Tong Ya didn’t mind but silently marveled in her heart, wondering why such a good man was not cherished by anyone.
“This medicine should do it!”
Chen Yu, upon inspection, immediately understood that Tong Ya’s fever was caused by menstrual discomfort.
He didn’t ask further, just pushed away the fried rice cakes and vegetable turnovers that Tang Xiaowei had handed him.
“You can’t eat these anymore, I’ll go buy you some porridge.”
Tong Ya, however, reached for a vegetable turnover regardless.
“The porridge outside isn’t as delicious as your fried rice cakes and turnovers!”
Chen Yu felt helpless and was about to ask something more when his phone started ringing.
At this moment, Tong Ya’s eyes were also looking dazed.
In her heart, she had been wrestling with herself, feeling that Chen Yu’s long trip to see her meant he must have her in his heart.
Why not just confess then!
Having made up her mind, Tong Ya swallowed all the medicine she had just taken out.
Just as she was about to speak, Chen Yu put down his phone somewhat anxiously.
“Old Xie has arranged the tables and chairs for me, and they’re about to be delivered to the shop, so I need to go back first. I’ll come back to see you after I close the shop this evening.”
Tong Ya’s pupils dilated slightly, “Then I’ll go with you, since I took the day off already, and I can be of help.”
“No way!” Chen Yu became a bit flustered, “With you being sick like this, you need to rest properly!”
“I’m fine now!” Tong Ya immediately spun around, “After taking your medicine, I’m feeling much better, and in the past when this happened, just going out for some fresh air would make me feel okay.”
Chen Yu hesitated, as there had always been a voice in his heart wanting Tong Ya by his side.
But Tong Ya’s condition truly worried him.
“I can vouch,” Tang Xiaowei suddenly raised her hand, “Just take her out for some fresh air, and she’ll be as lively and bouncy as a rabbit.”
Tong Ya immediately made an expression of sisterly solidarity to Tang Xiaowei, then hurried back to her room to change clothes.
In the end, Chen Yu agreed and took Tong Ya down to the underground garage with him.
Chen Yu didn’t let Tong Ya drive; instead, he made her sit in the passenger seat.
On the way, Chen Yu drove very slowly, keeping the ride as smooth as possible.
Tong Ya could also sense Chen Yu’s special care for her, which made her heart flutter.
Before long, she rolled her eyes slightly and then pretended to be tired, leaning sideways towards Chen Yu.
However, there was a bit of a gap between the driver’s and passenger’s seats.
As Tong Ya leaned over, she ended up lying straight across Chen Yu’s thighs.
Chen Yu frowned slightly but seeing Tong Ya sleeping soundly, he didn’t call out to wake her.
He just slightly shifted Tong Ya’s body to ensure that she wouldn’t bump into the handbrake or gearshift.
