Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 - 43 Take It Slow on the Road (2/2)
And just like that, he had completely forgotten about the time.
While Chen Yu was chiding himself, he suddenly flipped his phone over subconsciously.
It was still the phone that Tong Ya had bought for him.
Truth be told, he had never used such a good phone in all these years.
He needed to figure out when to give Tong Ya a gift in return.
At 6:45 in the morning, Tong Ya suddenly approached Chen Yu.
“Tuan Tuan and I are off to school!”
Chen Yu nodded his head, “Go on, and take it easy on the road.”
Tong Ya was overjoyed, her face blushing as she leaned in closer again.
“Is this your way of showing concern for me?”
Chen Yu was startled and before he could react, Tong Ya suddenly kissed him on the face and ran off without looking back.
Chen Yu froze for a moment, his breath even stopping for an instant.
Luckily, the four girls in the kitchen were busy, one working over the frying pan while the other three were heads down, preparing the semi-finished products.
No one noticed what had just happened.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Chen Yu subconsciously touched his cheek.
He actually found the moment somewhat enjoyable, to his surprise.
No sooner had he entertained that thought than he shook his head.
And he kept reminding himself in his heart that he must not hold Tong Ya back.
Then, as if invigorated, he suddenly sped up his work.
By 8 a.m., the children in the dance specialization class had already begun their training.
Tong Ya, dressed in her dance attire, maintained a splits position while staring blankly into the mirror.
Tuan Tuan, seeing this, bounced over in front of Tong Ya.
He also mimicked her, taking up a splits position.
“Teacher Tong Ya, what are you thinking about? You haven’t even assigned today’s dance yet.”
That snapped Tong Ya back to reality, her face flushing as she leaned forward a bit.
“This morning I kissed your dad!”
Tuan Tuan’s mouth hung open, “Dad didn’t refuse.”
Tong Ya laughed, “It was a sudden attack; he didn’t have time to react.”
“Then what was his reaction?” Tuan Tuan’s eyes gleamed with gossip.
“I didn’t see,” Tong Ya said, her face full of regret. “I was too nervous at the time, so I ran away.”
Tuan Tuan clenched his little fists, shaking them excitedly, “Then next time you kiss him, you must tell me in advance. I’ll help you watch.”
“Sure!” Tong Ya reached out and pinched Tuan Tuan’s cheek.
“Oh, by the way, Teacher Tong Ya, didn’t you ask me last time what my dad likes to eat?”
Tong Ya nodded, her face full of anticipation, “What does he like?”
“I think it’s fish!” Tuan Tuan was somewhat unsure, “I remember he seems very happy every time we eat fish.”
Tong Ya immediately understood and had an idea in mind.
At 9 a.m., Zhang Fan came to visit Chen Yu’s shop.
At this time, Chen Yu was fairly free, so he found an empty table and sat down to rest.
“Chen, having hired servers makes a difference. Back at the food cart, you didn’t even have time to rest.”
Chen Yu smiled, “I’m just sneaking in some downtime.”
Zhang Fan sat down opposite Chen Yu, “By the way, Chen, why don’t you join a delivery service? Your sales could easily double.”
Chen Yu had thought about this as well, but everything mustn’t be rushed.
They were just getting started, and stability was key.
Moreover, the shop didn’t even have a name yet.
