Chapter 143 – 143: Relative Time Difference

Chen Yu couldn’t help but get a little excited, but when Tong Ya next to him was about to translate for him, he raised his hand to stop her.

“All I did was smash the glass and throw the shards out.”

This fluent German stunned Bai Qiu and Tong Ya on the spot.

They had always thought that Chen Yu did not speak German.

The two security personnel, finding no barrier to communication, also bombarded him with questions non-stop.

Before long, the six of them were actually chatting away like old friends.

William’s family was known for its swift and decisive actions, and in just two hours, they had rooted out the person behind the incident.

The castle’s butler personally came down to the wine cellar and arranged for Chen Yu and his party to stay in two separate yet luxurious guest rooms.

“Husband, when did you learn German? And you speak it so fluently,” Tong Ya relentlessly pursued the matter.

Chen Yu smiled, “I took an elective course during university and learned enough to handle everyday conversations.”

Tong Ya was instantly full of admiration, “My man is simply formidable!”

The next morning, when Chen Yu awoke, he found the castle had entered a rather strange state.

The red flags from yesterday had been replaced with light blue ones, and many of the more noticeable signs had changed color too.

Was it because the master had been the target of an assassination that they had to take down the original decorations?

“Mr. Chen, good morning!”

The patrolling security personnel saw Chen Yu and saluted him very respectfully, before continuing their patrol.

This left Chen Yu feeling somewhat overwhelmed.

He had wanted to go for a morning run around the ancient castle, and take in the scenery as well.

But he hadn’t gone far before people were greeting him, which he found rather uncustomary, so he quickly returned to his room.

Tong Ya, with sleepy eyes, asked, “Husband, weren’t you going for a run? You’re back so soon.”

Chen Yu was somewhat helpless, “I’m not quite comfortable with the atmosphere here, let’s just go back to the hotel.”

Tong Ya obediently nodded and quickly got out of bed.

No sooner had the two left the room than a business van stopped at the entrance, and William’s family’s security personnel respectfully invited them to get in the vehicle.

Chen Yu frowned slightly and had no choice but to get in the car with Tong Ya.

At the Frankfurt Central Hospital, Victor lay on his hospital bed with a look of gloom on his face.

He never thought that one day he would be the target of an assassination in his own estate, and nearly lose his life.

However, when he saw Chen Yu, he almost jumped out of bed in excitement.

“Sir, not only are you my lifesaver, but you have also saved the entire William family! Just ask for anything you need, and as long as I can do it, I will not refuse.”

Chen Yu’s expression remained neutral, “At the time, it was merely a reflex. Please don’t dwell on it, Mr. Victor.”

“How can I not dwell on such a matter? Please, Mr. Chen, just name any condition, even if you ask for a check,” Victor insisted.

Chen Yu raised an eyebrow. Knowing Victor’s status, if he didn’t ask for something, it might be seen as a snub to William’s family.

These ancient families that have descended from the Middle Ages care deeply about their honor.

If the current situation wasn’t handled well, it could easily lead to a feud with William’s family.

After a moment of contemplation, Chen Yu handed over the wedding dress design that Tong Ya had previously drawn.

“If possible, I would like Mr. Victor to help me get this wedding dress made.”
