Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Chapter 213: 2 Billion Order (2/2)
The old man wasn’t having any of it and stood up, grabbing Chen Yu’s hand straight away.
“Young man, you must recognize me! Back in the day, I carried the title of Retail King!”
Chen Yu gave the elderly man a closer look, suddenly feeling a sense of familiarity.
“Li Kaiquan? You are Mr. Li Kaiquan.”
Li Kaiquan nodded, “That’s right. The supermarket chain under my name is much larger than your father-in-law’s, at least three times the size. If you’re willing, we can sign a contract right now for an order of one billion.”
Chen Yu felt a bit helpless, “Sir, you may not be aware, but my factory is still in the initial stages of operation. Just handling this one billion order from my father-in-law might take three months to produce; I’m afraid it won’t be easy to meet your demand in the short term.”
“Ah, why so inflexible, young man? Does it have to be one by one? They could be split into two parts, with each getting half,” the old man suggested.
“Li, you’re going too far now!” Tong Ming feigned anger, “I brought you here to get treatment, not to compete with me for business.”
Li Kaiquan patted Tong Ming’s shoulder, “Don’t be so stingy, we can all make money together! If anything, I’ll just release a portion of my other market shares.”
“Alright, it’s settled!” Tong Ming slapped the table in agreement, “Then you’ll give me a couple of your river channel projects.”
Li Kaiquan’s eyes widened, “Why do I feel like you’ve set a trap for me?”
The two elders looked at each other and then burst into hearty laughter, understanding what the other was thinking.
Moreover, they already had many business collaborations together.
In supermarkets and food, Tong Group’s volume couldn’t compare to Li Kaiquan at all.
But in construction projects, Tong Group was many times bigger than Li Kaiquan.
Without saying much more, they signed the contract on the spot.
Chen Yu smoothly landed an order worth two billion.
At this rate, he must complete the expansion of the industrial park in the shortest possible time, especially since there were still three billion worth of orders to fulfill overseas.
The very next morning at eight o’clock, Chen Yu sought out the older professor who had come to do the survey before, passing over his own drafted plan.
When the professor saw the plan, he was so moved that tears filled his eyes.
The underground tomb complex beneath the industrial park had suffered significant damage. If they didn’t clear it out as quickly as possible, the loss would be enormous.
But typically, clearing operations for a project like this would take at least six months, and they simply couldn’t wait that long.
Now, Chen Yu had provided them with a solution that would allow them to complete the work in just one month.
“Young man, you’re really sending charcoal in snowy weather! However, looking at your plan, it seems that an engineering team will still be needed, and we don’t have a ready one at our disposal,” the professor pointed out.
Chen Yu just smiled, “I happen to have one, and all the salaries for the engineering team won’t be your concern; I’ll take care of that myself.”
The professor didn’t know what to say.
This was originally meant to be an industrial park, and they were unsure about how to manage the excavation. Unexpectedly, Chen Yu had taken over all the factories.
And now, he was also providing them with an engineering team.
