Chapter 225: Chapter 225: Chain Hotels
The elderly patient’s body trembled violently, his hand grasping Chen Yu’s shaking uncontrollably.
“There’s no time to lose, let’s not wait any longer. Perform the surgery on me now; all the medical facilities here are fully equipped.”
Chen Yu’s head was full of metaphorical dark lines; he had just rushed back from the Himalayas, utterly exhausted.
Even if his physical condition had surpassed human limits, he needed rest.
Li Kai rushed to smooth things over, “Old Huang, Chen just brought back such precious medicine for you; he deserves some rest! If he performs surgery in his current state of fatigue and something goes wrong, it could be fatal.”
Huang Daolun nodded repeatedly, “Alright, Chen—no, I mean, Doctor Chen! My Huang Family owns several star-rated hotels in the capital. If you don’t mind, you can stay at any of them as you please. I’ll speak to the staff right away.”
Chen Yu laughed awkwardly, at a loss for what to say to the Huang Daolun in front of him.
“Chen!” Li Kaiquan patted Chen Yu’s shoulder, “You rest for a couple of days. As for the surgical equipment you need, give me a list, and we’ll prepare it as soon as possible!”
Chen Yu nodded and, guided by two of Huang Daolun’s assistants, made his way to a nearby five-star hotel.
Upon arrival, he saw photos of Huang Daolun on the walls, along with a complete introduction.
It turned out that this old gentleman was a chain hotel owner, even extending his business overseas.
After briefly learning about the other party’s information, Chen Yu returned to his room and fell straight to sleep.
He had already expended nearly all his energy on the Himalayan expedition and hadn’t slept since, having spent time compounding medicines in the car on the way back.
Now both his mind and body had reached their limits.
Only after a full two days did he wake up refreshed.
After a quick wash, he wrote out a list of medical instruments and just as he was about to go out for something to eat, he noticed several waiters waiting respectfully at his door, with a meal cart.
“Mr. Chen, you’re awake!”
They greeted him warmly, walked straight into the room, and set the food from the meal cart, while also producing a telephone.
“Old Mr. Li Kaiquan instructed us to ask you to call him as soon as you woke up.”
Chen Yu simply nodded and took the phone to dial.
“Elder Li, the medical list is ready, and we can start the operation at two in the afternoon.”
Before Li Kaiquan on the other end could respond, Huang Daolun’s excited voice came through.
“Mr. Chen, I’m nearly ready, just waiting for you to come and perform the surgery!”
Chen Yu couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow; it seemed Huang Daolun was getting impatient.
After eating, Chen Yu went straight to the hospital.
Huang Daolun’s condition was a deterioration of internal organs upon a foundation of organ failure, typically due to aging, mutation, and bacterial infection.
Generally, this sort of condition manifests in the elderly.
However, many doctors choose to give up treatment when faced with such patients, as eliminating bacteria or surgery could cause irreversible damage to the patient.
After a brief examination of Huang Daolun’s condition, Chen Yu took out several needles and inserted them into his acupoints, anesthetizing his body completely yet allowing him to retain a clear consciousness.
Huang Daolun’s eyes widened, “Mr. Chen, are you using general anesthesia? Why haven’t I fallen asleep?”
Chen Yu took out a syringe, “Old Master Huang, don’t you want to consciously experience the entire process of your surgery?”
Huang Daolun’s mouth dropped open; he really did not want to experience this process.
