Chapter 281 - Chapter 281: Chapter 281: 30 Years of Research Achievements (2/2)
The tense expression on Li Song’s face eased at once.
Before this, San Mu had always used various threats to blackmail him, but now he was finally rid of the guy.
Tong Ming didn’t stand on ceremony, dialing a phone call immediately after which two burly men entered the yard and carried away the three large vats.
Li Song didn’t obstruct them but only waved to Chen Yu.
“Young man, you are very impressive! However, I must remind you that in order to make that fruit wine successful, you’ll need a medicinal primer. Without these things, no matter how incredible your formula is, it will not succeed,” said Li Song, taking out something that resembled a caterpillar from his pocket.
This thing looked somewhat like cordyceps, but the patterns on it were much more numerous than those on the cordyceps, and the medicinal scent it released even had an intoxicating quality.
Chen Yu’s eyes widened in excitement as he took the caterpillar from Li Song’s hand.
“Core Earth Worms? Elder sir, these worms are not easy to catch.”
These were creatures that lived deep underground, requiring extremely stringent conditions to survive, and usually, they came in pairs. If one was captured, the other would emerge from the ground on its own.
Li Song was also surprised that Chen Yu recognized the worms; he excitedly patted Chen Yu on the shoulder and then pulled out a box.
“Back then, I went through a lot of hardship to catch these two worms, and now they are yours. You know how to use them, right?”
Chen Yu nodded and gently stroked the heads of the two worms.
These worms were incredibly precious and although their body fluids were necessary for making wine, they did not have to be killed; it only required some of their saliva.
“Of course I know, thank you for your generous teaching, elder!”
Li Song nodded, not saying much more, but as he was about to turn around and go back to the villa, Tong Ming called out to him.
“Old Li, don’t rush off. If I remember correctly, you should have an ancient book with you, right? It contains quite a few treasures. Why not take it out and give it to my son-in-law as well?”
Li Song immediately started hopping mad: “Don’t be too greedy. I’ve already offered up thirty years of research outcomes; what more do you want from me?”
Tong Ming didn’t care for the complaints. He took out a yin-yang jade pendant from his pocket and stuffed it into Li Song’s hand.
“We are both old now, so we should do what the elderly are supposed to do, and someone is still waiting for you!”
The sight of the jade pendant stopped Li Song in his tracks; he hadn’t expected Tong Ming to still have it.
“You’re ruthless! I can give you the item, but you have to return the wine cellar I lost to you ten years ago! When I leave here, I have to have some business to rely on,” said Li Song.
Tong Ming agreed readily, taking a key from his pocket and tossing it over as if he had anticipated Li Song’s condition all along.
After receiving the key, Li Song immediately threw out a book.
