Chu Jianghe’s expression shifted slightly. Having spent so many years in the business world, he had seen it all, but he had never heard of this kind of fruit wine before.
The smell it emitted had a unique fragrance, and just by taking a sniff, he felt a sense of light-headedness.
Without hesitation, Chu Jianghe lifted his glass and downed the wine in one gulp.
“Excellent wine! Although I do not drink, I do enjoy collecting wine. I have a cellar full of various famous wines from all around the world, but I have never seen this one.”
Chen Yu chuckled lightly and poured himself a cup.
“If the elder likes it, that’s all that matters. However, I am puzzled about one thing. Why did you suddenly act against me? Have we had a dispute before?”
Chu Jianghe tensed up a bit; he didn’t know what to say.
Compared to him, Chen Yu’s magnanimity and vision seemed to surpass that of the elder.
“No hard feelings, you just got in my way. Plus, I’ve had decades of feud with that old man Tong. Since we’ve met here in Suzhou City, I intend to settle things once and for all.”
Chen Yu didn’t say much, simply inviting Chu Jianghe to eat.
In the following ten minutes, neither said a word. Chu Jianghe just sat there eating by himself, while Chen Yu stared fixedly at him.
Only after Chu Jianghe finished eating, did Chen Yu speak up again.
“How does the food here suit you, elder?”
Chu Jianghe put down his chopsticks, “One could say it’s a delicacy from heaven; I’ve never tasted anything so delicious in my life!”
As he spoke, Chu Jianghe took out a unique handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his mouth.
“While eating just now, I took the opportunity to observe the layout here and grasped an understanding of your business model. This block of buildings really can achieve their full potential in your hands.”
Chen Yu smiled faintly, “So it seems Mr. Chu is not intending to compete with me anymore.”
Chu Jianghe grabbed the walking stick beside him, “That old man Tong is narrow-minded. I didn’t expect him to have a son-in-law like you. I’m even a bit envious!”
“I refrained today simply because I admire you. As for Tong Ming, I will still settle my score with him!”
Chen Yu refrained from saying more. After all, it was a grudge between the older generation, and even if he understood the details, it wasn’t his place to meddle.
Chu Jianghe got up slowly and just as he took two steps, he turned back.
“I heard your restaurant offers meal services for companies. If you don’t mind, from now on, I’d like to order employee meals from you, and I hope you can deliver on time.”
Chen Yu nodded, “I’m in business to serve customers. With a big client like you knocking, I’ve no reason to refuse. Just leave me the address and the number of employees. But I have to warn you, the price for meals from my place is several percent higher than others.”
Chu Jianghe let out a hearty laugh, “For such delicious food, even if the price were several times higher, I would accept it.”
With that, he pulled out a check from his pocket and handed it to Chen Yu.
