Chapter 449: Seal of Solomon

The room wasn’t very large, and the items within were haphazardly placed and covered with a thick layer of dust, likely the storeroom of this level of the cabin.

When the chaos erupted earlier, Ding Nolan had his men search the area and finally, they discovered this place.

At the very back of the storeroom were three large chests, all treasures of the third Ramses.

When Chen Yu opened the chests, he was utterly astonished, especially by one of the gold scepters inside.

Every pharaoh of the Ramses Dynasty would possess their own unique gold scepter, varying only in size.

The one that Jin Lingsu held was already quite significant, but this one was twice as large as that one.

Ding Nolan had two subordinates guard the door while he maneuvered his wheelchair to Chen Yu’s side.

“Mr. Chen, according to my analysis, there should be other chests in the cabin. Shall I have my men search again?”

Chen Yu didn’t quite know what to say; the seven men had gone through so much trouble to transport the treasures from the ruins, schemed against each other for so long, and three lives had been lost in the process.

In the end, the treasures were just carelessly discarded here.

“The remaining treasures should all be hidden in the warehouses on each floor. After you find them, do not make it known; concentrate them in one place.”

Once his subordinates received the order, they immediately set to work, and before long, they brought back several large chests.

Chen Yu couldn’t help but feel excited, he hadn’t expected this accidental windfall from the expedition.

Just then, a commotion erupted in the hall.

An elderly man, clasping a wooden box, lay half-reclined in the center of the hall, muttering incomprehensible words.

A few burly men were continuously assaulting him, seemingly trying to snatch the wooden box away.

Chen Yu frowned, thinking that even at sea, there should be some rules.

Robbing someone in broad daylight, what kind of behavior was this?

Ding Nolan immediately understood Chen Yu’s sentiments and sent two men to intervene.

But those ruffians were incredibly overbearing and did not take Ding Nolan seriously at all.

Chen Yu’s frown deepened as he strode forward.

“Gentlemen, the old man is advanced in years, you shouldn’t bully him like this.”

The ruffians sized up Chen Yu and one of them raised his fist, ready to strike.

Chen Yu was not one to indulge them, he launched a powerful punch and sent the fellow flying.

The rest of them stood frozen on the spot, not daring to make another move.

“Who is it that dares to lay hands on my men?”

A very haughty-looking young man, surrounded by a group of bodyguards, slowly emerged.

Ding Nolan’s pupils dilated suddenly.

“Calon! It’s you, I should have known. Who else would dare to be so presumptuous as to bully an elder on board the ship.”

Calon was also taken aback upon seeing Ding Nolan.

“You’re already crippled like this and you still dare meddle in my business? Do you want your upper body to end up disabled here as well?”

Ding Nolan was seething with rage, controlling his wheelchair as he slowly advanced.

“Do you have any idea that this Mr. Chen is a true Knights of the Round Table member? To provoke him, do you think your life is too long?”
