Chapter 490 The True Master

Chen Yu was startled, instinctively stepping back several paces.

Jin Lingsu even drew out her golden spike, ready for action.

Chen Yu hastily blocked her, sensing that these wild people bore them no ill will; it was just their sudden appearance that had made the others tense.

Sure enough, a rather robust man emerged from the crowd, approaching Chen Yu with a simple wooden spear waved in his hand.

“Who are you? Where do you come from? What are you doing here?”

A barrage of questions left Chen Yu somewhat bemused, as if this man were looking for a criminal.

“Why waste words with them? There’s equipment on the plane; we might as well just finish them off.”

Jin Lingsu became impatient, about to act without thinking.

Chen Yu, somewhat helpless, quickly pulled Jin Lingsu back and then approached the man.

“Excuse me, is this the territory of the Milore Family?

The man first froze, then stared at Chen Yu with a strange gaze, and the wild people around him began to draw closer, a mysterious hatred appearing in their eyes.

“Are you from the Milore Family?”

Chen Yu’s face was full of frustration—shouldn’t he be the one asking that question?

Just as he was about to speak, a helicopter suddenly appeared nearby. A massive amount of explosives fell from the aircraft, blasting numerous holes into the ice field.

The wild people who initially had not helped became like soldiers facing an enemy, running in all directions, and a few accidentally fell into the ice holes.

Chen Yu furrowed his brow; he had just arrived and was still unclear about the situation. Moreover, the magnetic field here was too chaotic for the system to function.

Under such circumstances, he could not simply watch as those wild people drowned alive in the ice holes.

Without further thought, he jumped into one of the ice holes. Relying on his exceptional physical fitness, he began to toss the people who had fallen in back onto solid ground, one after another.

The leading man was stunned; he simply could not discern whether Chen Yu was friend or foe.

After a moment’s hesitation, the man waved at Chen Yu.

“Quick, come over here!”

Chen Yu, without hesitation and breathing heavily, followed with Jin Lingsu in tow.

It wasn’t long before the group arrived at a cave that seemed very well-hidden.

This place appeared to be in a visual blind spot, and after circling above in the sky, the helicopter left.

Chen Yu had just heaved a sigh of relief when the man who had spoken earlier once again pressed the wooden spear to his neck.

“Who are you, really? Are you a scout sent by the Milore family?”

Chen Yu sighed helplessly; had he been a scout, he would have provided coordinates to the helicopter by then.

Just as he was about to speak, a violent coughing fit suddenly echoed from deep within the cave.

The people present immediately tensed, even the leader ran over.

“Chief, how are you feeling?”

From a distance, Chen Yu caught a glimpse of a very delicate-looking young girl lying in a corner of the cave.

She seemed to be at most in her early twenties.

Just by hearing those coughs, Chen Yu knew the girl was seriously ill, and because of long-term malnutrition, her body had suffered irreversible damage inside.

“Hey, I can cure your leader’s illness!”
