Chapter 497: The Arena Competition

All of this was shocking, and Chen Yu hadn’t expected this place to be in such chaos.

“Mr. Chen, our young master is waiting over there. Please go on your own; we won’t accompany you,” they said.

Chen Yu looked toward the place not far away and indeed saw a bulky middle-aged man standing on a platform.

The man’s face had several scars from cuts, making him look extremely terrifying, and there was a stench of blood coming off him intermittently.

Chen Yu immediately frowned and covered the area with his system scan.

All the brain data of the man, along with the various elements contained in his body, were analyzed.

When Chen Yu saw the components, his composure slipped away.

Khaled was actually consuming pills made from condensed human blood.

He had seen this thing before in the Knights of the Round Table’s laboratory; it was specifically developed by those people in search of immortality.

To make one pill, it would take the lives of at least a hundred people.

Chen Yu took a deep breath; he had already harbored murderous intent toward Khaled.

“It’s them!” Polaris suddenly pointed at the dozen or so guards around Khaled. “I remember clearly, it was them who slaughtered my clan members.”

Chen Yu suddenly felt the system reach peak chaos, detecting that the magnetic field emitting from Polaris had intensified dozens of times in an instant.

Jin Lingsu was also affected by the magnetic field, feeling dizzy and disoriented.

Chen Yu thought of something, squatted down, and grabbed Polaris’s shoulder.

“Polaris, do you want to kill them to avenge your clan?” he asked.

Polaris nodded emphatically.

“Brother, is there a way for me to fight those people on the leitai? I have a way to kill them in a very short time,” she requested.

Chen Yu looked at the seemingly frail girl in front of him, and his expression gradually became strange; Polaris was perhaps not as weak as she appeared on the surface.

“Alright, you don’t have to say anything later, leave everything to me,” he assured her.

Chen Yu immediately took Polaris and Jin Lingsu up onto the platform.

Kenord let out a hearty laugh and then removed the cigar from his mouth.

“Mr. Chen, I’ve long admired your reputation. I didn’t expect to meet you here.”

Chen Yu was unwilling to have any conversation with him and simply moved a chair to sit on the side.

“Young Master Kaylo really knows how to enjoy himself, organizing so many leitai here. I just don’t know what kind of rules you play by here; I want to have a go too,” he stated.

Kaylo’s interest was immediately piqued, “Actually, there are no fixed rules. There are only two modes: the single challenge and the melee. Which one would Mr. Chen like to try?”

Chen Yu raised his hand and pointed at the guards beside Kaylo.

“The people by your side seem pretty solid. How about they come down and have a melee fight with me?”

Kaylo laughed as if he had heard a huge joke.

“Mr. Chen, I mean no disrespect, but my subordinates are all battle-hardened experts. Whoever has fought them in a melee has died on the leitai!”

Chen Yu appeared unconcerned, simply pushing Polaris forward.
