Chapter 506: Childish
Wu Chen had two great loves in his life, one was gourmet food, and the other was gaming.
He came from a highly noble birth, his ancestors once traded in the South Seas, and the wealth they accumulated was enough to rival countries.
When the Knights of the Round Table were updating, they had invited his family multiple times. However, due to cultural reasons, the Wu Family had never agreed.
It wasn’t until Wu Chen’s generation that, due to some practical considerations, he agreed to join the Knights of the Round Table.
But what he hadn’t expected was that the Knights of the Round Table were incredibly corrupt, always getting involved in all sorts of unsavory dealings.
They even tried to limit Wu Chen’s hobbies.
What was even more excessive was that they demanded Wu Chen to dedicate all of the Wu Family’s assets unconditionally to the Knights of the Round Table.
In plain terms, they wanted to swallow up the priceless assets in this manner, then kick Wu Chen out afterward.
It was because he saw through this that Wu Chen resolutely left the Knights of the Round Table.
From then on, he faced the ceaseless assassination attempts by the Knights of the Round Table.
Luckily, the wealth and power in his hands were enough to help him dominate a region, thus he established a kingdom on this small island.
In the beginning, the island was rather prosperous, and various powers and organizations would come to visit from time to time.
But to have become so desolate now shows how Wu Chen had been living over the years.
After finishing the meal, Chen Yu went with Wu Chen to a hall next door.
This place had all sorts of entertainment facilities available that Chen Yu found somewhat dazzling to look at.
Wu Chen didn’t say much and went straight to the billiards table beside them.
“You know I’m obsessed with all sorts of games, and billiards is one of my favorites. If you can beat me at this, whatever you say goes!”
Chen Yu raised his eyebrows. He had been a good student since childhood and had no interest in many entertainment activities.
Especially something like billiards, which he had never even touched.
After a moment of adjusting his breathing, he let the system search for all the rules and techniques of billiards.
As soon as all this information was in his brain, he stepped forward and picked up a cue stick.
“Mr. Wu, are we playing a single game for the outcome, or best two out of three?”
As Chen Yu spoke, he deliberately brought some provocation into his tone, instantly arousing Wu Chen’s competitive spirit.
“Best two out of three? How boring, of course, it’s a single game for the outcome.”
Wu Chen said magnanimously and then took a seat to the side, cue stick in hand.
“Guests first, you break.”
Chen Yu coughed twice and then picked up the cue stick to deliver a fierce strike.
The force generated by the cue ball was tremendous, and the power that erupted seemed deliberately controlled.
All the balls scattered in every direction upon the cue ball’s impact.
Before Wu Chen could react, all of the balls had dropped into the pockets.
Wu Chen’s mouth hung open in shock. Although he could perform this trick, he could only succeed once in ten attempts.
“Mr. Wu, I assure you, my playing method is the fastest in the world, and even you can’t surpass it! Isn’t it time to honor the promise you made earlier?”
Wu Chen finally came to his senses, tossing the cue stick he held to the side.
