Chapter 834: 263. Turn turn turn turn_2
Bower, accompanied by two sturdy maids, made his way through the bustling Grand Hall and ascended the spiral staircase to knock on the door of the Guest Room at the far end of the second floor of the Grand Hall.
“Knock knock knock…”
“Come in, Bower,” Yorksim’s voice called from behind the door.
Bower entered with a polite smile and saw the dark-skinned Witch who was in conversation with the host, Yorksim.
The moment Bower laid eyes on the Witch, he deemed the sturdy maids by his side to be garbage, all fit to be swept into the trash heap.
Look at the body lines of this dark-skinned Witch, full and lush, with the expansion brought by plumpness and the tension from muscular strength.
Every inch of her skin found a perfect balance point between the strength of a man and the grace of a woman.
Especially those legs which didn’t have an ounce of excess fat.
The charming curves of her calves and the contours of her thighs ignited a heat in Bower’s chest.
“Ahem.”
The greasy, slick-backed Yorksim coughed into his fist a few times, struggling to bring the daydreaming Housekeeper back to the present.
Bower shuddered and suppressed the greed and infatuation in his eyes, striving to avert his gaze from the dark-skinned Witch.
He bent slightly, using half a second to cover the instinctive reaction of a man, and in another half-second, he found the right words:
“Master, according to the Demon Spirit Wizard’s investigation, I had our family Wizards check under Water. They found no trace of Deep Sea Demons. To minimize the risk of an outbreak, I had the family Wizards set up nets underwater in advance and sent more people to guard under Water as well.”
“Hmm, well done, Bower,” Yorksim said:
“You will greet our guests in the Grand Hall now.”
“Yes, Master.” Bower bent slightly, glanced once more at those legs that fascinated him, and then turned with the two sturdy maids to leave the Guest Room.
After Bower had left, an undisguised sneer filled the Guest Room:
“Hehehe, so this is Bower, who assists you in receiving guests and managing finances?”
The speaker was the dark-skinned Witch.
She unreservedly showed her disdain for Bower, her eyes brimming with intense disgust.
Mocking the Housekeeper in front of the master was somewhat disrespectful to the host.
But Yorksim, as the host, smiled nonchalantly:
“Don’t bother with him, Lady Mira. In a few days, I’ll have him replaced.”
Yorksim paused and did not elaborate further on the topic:
“Let’s continue talking about the Pangula Family. The matter you wish to inquire about is protected by a Magic Contract. I must refuse your proposal; I cannot risk violating the Magic Contract by revealing any information to you.”
