Chapter 874: 273. Strength Surges Dramatically

Selena’s efficiency was indeed high.

After leaving the Underground Laboratory, she went to the Teaching District of the Deep Sea Branch and brought back three Illusion Bodies.

The name “Illusion Body” might lead one to believe it’s purely created by Illusion Magic.

But in fact, that’s not the case.

Essentially, it is a magic puppet that specific casters can manipulate.

These magic puppets are crafted by magic craftsmen and usually resemble dolls or mannequins in appearance.

After being enchanted with the effect of Illusion Magic, the appearance of the magic puppet then transforms into a translucent humanoid species in the eyes of people.

If a detection spell is cast on the Illusion Body, or if Magic Vision is activated, it’s still possible to see through the illusion and see its true form.

The three Illusion Bodies that Selena had brought back were of the appearances of a 20-year-old girl in her youth, a 25-year-old young woman, and a 30-year-old mature woman.

Nolin was overjoyed and repeatedly thanked Selena for her care.

She tried all three Illusion Bodies and ultimately chose the one of a 25-year-old.

Selena helped her fine-tune some of the facial details.

Half an hour later, Nolin transformed, turning from a Metal Sphere into a young female Top Student who looked scholarly and somewhat stiff at first glance.

She donned a simple white Magic Robe and wore round glasses typical of a Scholar, seamlessly transitioning from a synthetic human created by technology into the World of Wizards.

Noland Lee witnessed Nolin’s transformation from the sidelines.

“Illusion Bodies are still a bit risky; their defensive capabilities are too weak to protect the Computing Array that houses your soul.

“After we deal with the Sea Monsters, I’ll go ask the Professor for information about ethereal beings and find a way to give you a more powerful body,” he said.

Nolin tore her gaze away from the Floor Mirror.

She looked at Noland, hands dangling in front of her, palms stacked, and bowed slightly:

“Thank you, Sir. I appreciate your efforts.”

Nolin then turned to Selena who was beside her:

“And thank you too, Madam. This Illusion Body is splendid; it suits me well.”

Obedient, polite, and competent—who wouldn’t like such a Female Assistant?

Selena raised a gentle smile and took Nolin’s hand:

“Jarvis is better at dealing with enemies and creating magical devices and spells, while managing personnel and communication is my duty. If you need any help in the future, just let me know.”
