Chapter 1031 (1/2)

Chapter 1031: 321. Bound Blood Remains

Noland Lee orally promised to fund the Wealth Project, which made the follow-up matters much more manageable.

Gregory Tote retrieved a set of prewritten Magic Contracts.

He introduced the details of the current Wealth Project to Noland Lee, item by item, in accordance with the terms of the Contract.

It was a rather tedious process, requiring concentration to memorize key points and careful discrimination against traps and unfavorable factors within the contract.

“…Tote, I have a question.”

Noland Lee pointed at a particular clause in the Magic Contract:

“As one of the sponsors of the Wealth Project, I should be allowed to visit the site of the Magic Experiment, right? Then why does this Magic Contract state that ‘sponsors cannot be present on-site’? Without witnessing the experiment firsthand and unable to send an Agent to supervise, how can I ensure that my gold coins aren’t being misused?”

The Pure Light Court probably doesn’t want people to know that they have a Thunder and Lightning Type of Wild Magic at their disposal.

They deliberately had the Wealth Creation Society add a clause in the Magic Contract, forbidding contractual parties from visiting.

Ha, such an act is simply redundant and superfluous for Noland Lee.

Come on, all those Thunderclouds you have were bought from me. There’s nothing you need to hide from me.

Upon hearing Noland Lee’s question, Gregory Tote showed an apologetic yet polite smile:

“I’m sorry, Mr. Jarvis, this is specifically requested by the Pure Light Court. They say their Magic Experiment involves their own secrets. They will transfer the Experimental Report to the Wizard Advancement Association only after confirming the success of the experiment and then will make the details of the experiment public. Until then, all content of the experiment is confidential.”

Gregory Tote paused for a moment, then his tone changed abruptly:

“However, your skepticism indeed has merit. Other financiers also share your sentiments. If you wish to withdraw your funding because of this clause, there will be no problem at all.”

What Noland Lee really wanted was to take advantage of this Magic Contract to get a glimpse of the Pure Light Court’s Campsite, not to make money.

In the past five days, he was touring near the Pollution Zone using “Mind View.”

Since various wizard forces had dispatched Nine Circles Battle Mages to preside over the area, coupled with many Anti-detection Magic Barriers, “Mind View” had not discovered much of value.

Especially the campsite of the Pure Light Court.

Tsk, that place was practically as impervious as a giant can of steel and concrete.

No windows, no doors, no ventilation pipelines, and surrounded by Anti-detection Magic Barriers and highly sensitive Energy Wave Detection Devices.

Even more exaggerated was that the Pure Light Court had installed powerful Illusion Formations, replacing the real scenery with false images.

All wizards apart from the Light Wizards, including Noland Lee himself, stood no chance of seeing the actual situation inside the Pure Light Campsite.

This stringent Magic Contract was likely one of the few channels that could help Noland Lee pry into the secrets of Pure Light.
